Question:
I need to rewire the electric brakes on my travel trailer. I found wire, PN 12-2-1, that looks like what I need. I am not sure what I need use for connectors. I believe that PN DW05745-10 connectors are appropriate when connecting two single wires together. For my trailer this is the situation on the passenger side. On the drivers side I will need to connect three wires together. What is the recommended connector in that case? Thanks in advance. Steve

Hi Steve; I would use 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 for the brakes instead of 12 gauge. The same butt connectors # DW05745-10 will still work. If you're connecting 3 wires together I would either use a wire nut with plenty of electrical tape or solder them together and throw some heat shrink tubing over it.

Hi Robin, Thanks for the advice. Like the idea of using solder and heat-shrink tubing.
