The hitch adapter and 90 degree mount solved my desire to mount my electric wench on my auto trailer replacing the manual wench. See photo. The 2" sleeve would not come out of the existing 2" receiver so I used the hitch adapter to make the transition. The etrailer experts correctly told me there would be some play in this joint. However, it works here (as this is not for towing). I also used the 90 degree mount upside down (also not an approved application). But again no towing is involved. I did need to drill a new hole in the receiver. 716215

Ask the Experts about this Draw-Tite Hitch Pins and Clips

  • Hitch Pin Weight Capacity
I'm not sure I understand why you are holding a tree with a hitch pin, but the Pin and Clip For Class I and II Trailer Hitch Receiver Hitch # PC2 are rated to assist in towing up to 3500 lbs each. If you are using the cotter pin for the weight, they are not rated for weight but only to hold the pin in place.

If you need a standard non-locking hitch pin we offer # PC2 for Class I and Class II hitches. This pin is 1/2-inch in diameter. If you have a Class III, IV or V hitch then instead you can use part # PC3 which is 5/8-inches in diameter. Both include the retaining clip. The linked articles will help...

  • Is Drawbar Needed When Installing Trailer Hitch on a 2018 Subaru Impreza for a Bike Rack
You won't need a drawbar to carry a bike rack with the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT24959 installed on your 2018 Subaru Impreza and really unless you have an older or very entry-level bike rack you shouldn't even need the Pin & Clip # PC2 either as the bike rack should come with something to secure it to the trailer hitch. If you don't already have a bike rack then I actually recommend going with the Class III Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76209 instead...

The Pro Series cargo carrier, # 63155, fits a Class II, 1-1/4 inch receiver so it takes a 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin like # PC2 that you referenced. For a locking hitch pin use # 1472DAT. The fact it is a Class II is important because it will allow you the use of more accessories and has a larger tongue weight capacity (350 lbs) and towing capacity (3,500 lbs) than the other hitch that fits your car, the Class I Curt Trailer Hitch # C11527. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs.
