The hitch adapter and 90 degree mount solved my desire to mount my electric wench on my auto trailer replacing the manual wench. See photo. The 2" sleeve would not come out of the existing 2" receiver so I used the hitch adapter to make the transition. The etrailer experts correctly told me there would be some play in this joint. However, it works here (as this is not for towing). I also used the 90 degree mount upside down (also not an approved application). But again no towing is involved. I did need to drill a new hole in the receiver. 716215

The retaining pin fits a Class I hitch, as promised, although the clip looks delicate. The clip will be easy to take on and off, but I wish that there were a more secure type so I didn't have to worry about it on the road. 607882

Hitch looks good, Haven't used it yet but am sure it will be fine. However, I ordered 2 different sizes of pins. Was supposed to get 1 small pin (1/2") for the 1-1/4"x 1-1/4" part of the hitch and 1 large (5/8") pin for the 2"x 2" part of the hitch. What I got were 2 large (5/8") pins. 446861

  • How to Determine What Size Hitch Pin Required for Trailer
You can submit a photo of your trailer or hitch easily enough by using the link and button on our question page. This appears right below the field where you will enter your email address. If you need a standard non-locking hitch pin we offer # PC2 for Class I and Class II hitches. This pin is 1/2-inch in diameter. If you have a Class III, IV or V hitch then instead you can use part # PC3 which is 5/8-inches in diameter. Both include the retaining clip. The linked articles will help...

I'm not sure I understand why you are holding a tree with a hitch pin, but the Pin and Clip For Class I and II Trailer Hitch Receiver Hitch # PC2 are rated to assist in towing up to 3500 lbs each. If you are using the cotter pin for the weight, they are not rated for weight but only to hold the pin in place.

  • Hitch Pin for Use on ATV
ATVs do not have a universal hitch pin size they will require, the size of the hitch pin is actually determined by the trailer hitch that fits. If you are using something like the Curt ATV Ball Mount Adapter # C45006, for example, you would need the Pin and Clip For Class III, IV and V Trailer Hitch # PC3. For the most part, if you have a 1-1/4 inch receiver you will used the Pin and Clip For Class I and II Trailer Hitch # PC2 which has a 1/2 inch diameter and if the receiver is...

The Pro Series cargo carrier, # 63155, fits a Class II, 1-1/4 inch receiver so it takes a 1/2 inch diameter hitch pin like # PC2 that you referenced. For a locking hitch pin use # 1472DAT. I also recommend the light kit for this cargo carrier, # 20174, especially if the cargo will block the lights on the vehicle. I have included a video review of the light kit for you.

The Draw-Tite Sportframe # 24920 is confirmed to fit your 2017 Honda Fit and will work well for you. However it's a Class I hitch so the Class II MaxxTow Adapter # MT70032 will not fit in the hitch. They're both 1-1/4 inches but the Draw-Tite has a stopper inside of it to prevent you from overloading the Class I hitch with Class II accessories. Instead you can use the Brophy # HTAD. • Can a 1-1/4 - 2 Adapter be Used to Safely Haul a Cargo Carrier with a 2015 Toyota Corolla
The concept of a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD is a good idea in theory but the problem with using one of those with a 1-1/4" hitch, like part # C11265 or # 24913 for your 2015 Toyota Corolla, is that it will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs. If you were to use all of this for the 24x60 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18153 you would only...

The trouble with using an adapter like this with your 1-1/4-inch hitch and 2-inch bike rack is that the addition of the adapter causes you to lose half of your hitch capacity. This occurs due to the change in geometry at the hitch tube. This extra leverage on the hitch means your 200-lb-rated hitch suddenly...
