Today, we're going to be taking a look at Part Number C21403. This is a Curt Class I and Class II pin and clip. It's going to have a diameter of 1/2 inch. The 1/2 inch diameter pin is going to secure your ball mount and accessories to your trailer hitch. This pin is decided for 1 1/4 by 1 1/4 square receiver style hitches. Here on the end of the pin, you're going to see a nice little grooved indention.
This is going to enable easy clip installation and removal. Again, the clip is included. Once you have it through your hitch and your accessory, all you've got to do is place that clip on the other side of the pin and it's going to secure everything inside of the hitch. This is made from steel construction. It has a nice zinc finish, so it's designed to stand up really well against rust and corrosion. We'll take a measurement of the overall length, measuring from end to end.
This is going to give us a measurement of about 3 3/4 of an inch. The measure of just the straight part of the pin, so measuring from the base of that curve to where the clip installs, that's going to give us a measurement of 2 1/4 of an inch. That's going to do it for our review of Part Number C21403. This is a Curt Class I and Class II pin and clip. .

Replaced a missing pin on utility trailer ramp ... this one fit perfectly! Others were either too short for the span or were smaller in diameter, so they would fit loosely.
Okay. This is a very simple retaining pin. It would have to be an epic fail not to garner 5 stars. So far, that has not happened. :)
