How Does B&W Trailer Hitch Mount to a 1975 Chevy 1-Ton Dually Pickup Truck

Question:

I am looking for a hitch for a 75 chev 1 ton dually pickup. I like this BandW hitch but the flages point outward in the picture so the mount would be on the inboard side of the frame. I saw the picture of the hitch mounted on the Ford, and they were flipped to mount of the outboard side. My frame width is 34inch would this work flipped like the one in the picture? Also, the bottom of the bumper is 4inch below the frame, would this hitch mount snug against the bumper? It is a standard chrome non step bumper.

On B&W trailer hitch # BWHDRH25122 the mounting brackets are oriented the same for all applications. The tabs point in but attach to the bottoms of the frame rails. The customer submitting photo appears to have some other component installed. The upper brackets in that picture are not part of the hitch assembly. They appear to be bumper brackets.

Once installed the receiver should be right under the bottom of the bumper of very close especially since you have a stock bumper on your 1975 Chevy pickup.

I also recommend ball mount # BWBMHD30010 and pin and clip # PC2. For a 2 inch ball use # A-90. For a 2-5/16 inch use # 19286. And to add trailer wiring use # 118311.
