Will a Curt hitch for a 2017 Forte fit a 2020 Forte?

The 2017 Kia Forte was the second to last model year of the 2nd generation Forte, while the 2020 is the second model year of the 3rd gen. There were enough changes in the structure of the vehicle from the 2nd to the 3rd gen that unfortunately your Curt # C11368 from your 2017 Forte will not work on your 2020 model.

For the 2020 Forte sedan, I'd recommend the Curt # C55HR Class I hitch you'd looked at. As you can see in the photo I provided, once installed the # C55HR will be much more concealed on the vehicle, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible from the rear for a much better appearance.

If you'll be using the hitch for light duty towing, you'll also need a trailer wiring harness like # C54ER, a ball mount like # C45017 and a # PC2 hitch pin. For a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball use part # 19256 or # 19258 for a 2 inch ball.
