  • Visibility of the Curt Class I Hitch on a 2009 Volvo S40
We have not had a chance to install this hitch on a vehicle like your 2009 Volvo S40, but I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said the majority of this trailer hitch will not be visible. The top of the receiver will sit flush with the bottom of your bumper fascia. He did mention that you may be able to see the bottom part of the mounting arms that extend just past the crossbar on both sides. I have attached installation instructions for you to check out. If you plan on doing any light...

  • Can a 1-1/4 - 2 Adapter be Used to Safely Haul a Cargo Carrier with a 2015 Toyota Corolla
The concept of a hitch adapter like the Brophy # HTAD is a good idea in theory but the problem with using one of those with a 1-1/4" hitch, like part # C11265 or # 24913 for your 2015 Toyota Corolla, is that it will reduce the weight capacity of your trailer hitch by 50%. Since those trailer hitches have a tongue weight rating of 200 lbs this means that the tongue weight will be reduced to 100 lbs. If you were to use all of this for the 24x59 Curt Cargo Carrier # C18151 you would only...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2008 Toyota Camry SE V6
Yes, we do have a hitch that will fit your 2008 Toyota Camry SE V6, but the item you selected, Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 12343, will not fit the SE model of the Camry. I would recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 36416, which is a Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch. To complete your towing setup you may be interested in the following: Draw-Tite Ball Mount, part # 36071 1-7/8 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19256 2 Inch Hitch Ball, part # 19258 Pin and Clip, part # PC2 T-One Vehicle Wiring...

  • 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Adapter for Bike Rack on 2008 MazdaSPEED3
We have exactly what you need, although technically the adapter will not turn the Class I hitch into a Class II hitch, it will simply give your 2008 MazdaSPEED3 a 2" receiver. The Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver with 5" Rise # HT5R will convert your Mazda's Class I, 1-1/4" receiver into a 2" receiver and will also give you 5" of rise. This adapter will also reduce your hitch capacity by 50 percent, so if you had the Draw-Tite # 24816 hitch, for example, its maximum tongue...

  • Should a Locking Hitch Pin be Purchased to Help Keep a Hitch Cover from Being Stolen
A trailer hitch cover like the Rubber Hitch Cover # 22281 is not one that can be locked, but since it is a common piece it really isn't in too much danger of being stolen. However, if you you are looking at a hitch cover that is a little more unique, like the part # HTCC11805, then I do recommend going with a locking hitch pin like part # e98880 as opposed to a typical pin and clip like part # PC3. This will help to deter theft of your cover. Please note that the lock and clip/pin numbers...

  • Can a 2009 Pontiac Vibe Safely Tow a 1,500 Pound Boat Trailer
Since you would be right at capacity I do recommend taking any measures feasible in lightening the load. That will make it that much easier on the vehicle. I do believe that properly equipped, the 2009 Pontiac Vibe will be fine towing the 1,500 pounds. Since you will not constantly be towing it up a steep ramp, and that aspect is only a small part of the journey, the Vibe should be just fine. For a trailer hitch, you can use # C12221 but it is for GT models. If you have a GT model then...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Ford Fusion Sport with Dual Exhaust
Yes, the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 24865, will fit on all models of the 2010 Ford Fusion including the sport with dual exhaust. This hitch installs exactly the same as Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch, 60282, which has been discontinued, and we have pictures and a video of it installed on a 2010 Fusion with dual exhaust. I have provided a link to the video for reference. The recommended ball mount but for the Draw-Tite Hitch is # 3594. For a ball you can use # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter)...

  • Recommended Hitch Adapter For 2016 Toyota Prius V With Class l Trailer Hitch To Carry Bike Rack
We do not have a trailer hitch designed to fit your 2016 Prius. As manufacturers design and make them available, we do add them to our website so our customers can order them. The tire chains I recommend for your 2016 Prius are the Glacier V-Trac Cable Snow Tire Chains, part # PW1030. These are made of low-carbon steel and are designed with a low profile that means a smoother ride. These also come with tensioning rings that help secure the chains on the vehicle. • Trailer Hitch, Accessories, and Wiring for a 2006 Suzuki Forenza
Curt trailer hitch # C11481 will fit a 2004 to 2008 Suzuki Forenza so it will also fit your 2006. If you plan on doing any towing with this vehicle be sure to consult the owners manual to make sure it can tow and to determine the vehicle capacity. The correct ball mount is # C45521 and you can use pin and clip # PC2. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. For trailer wiring use # 119178KIT. I have linked instructions for the wiring and the hitch for you.

  • P315 Conversion Bar for Swagman XP Bike Racks
Part # P315 probably would not work with your hitch. My information shows that the only available hitches for your 2008 Kia Optima are Class I hitches and P139 is for Class II only. We do have another adapter that will work for a Class I hitch. It is part # HTAD and it will allow your Class I 1-1/4 hitch to accept 2 inch accessories. You will need part # PC2 to hold the adapter into your hitch, and if you do not already have one, part # PC3 to hold your bike rack to the adapter. Please...

  • Hitch Pin and Clip Recommendations for the MaxxTow Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter
Basically you have two options for hitch pin and clips. Either a locking pin and clip or a non-locking pin and clip for both the 1-1/4 inch portion of the MaxxTow MT70355 and the 2 inch portion. For the 1-1/4 inch pin and clips you would want either the Pin and Clip # PC2 or the locking version part # 7682. For the 2 inch portion you would want either the Pin and Clip part # PC3 or the locking version part # 7683.

  • Fit of Curt C98BR Class I Hitch on 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback
The Draw-Tite Class I hitch, part # 24984 is a fit for all models of the 2021 Mazda 3 according to Draw-Tite. Usually, the on the more sporty models of small cars, the dual exhaust can present a fit problem, but as you can see in the linked installation instructions as well as the provided photo, the hitch fits perfectly with a dual-exhaust equipped vehicle. The receiver tube is hard to see, so I've circled it in red. If you'll be using the hitch for light duty towing, you'll also need...

The 2017 Kia Forte was the second to last model year of the 2nd generation Forte, while the 2020 is the second model year of the 3rd gen. There were enough changes in the structure of the vehicle from the 2nd to the 3rd gen that unfortunately your Curt # C11368 from your 2017 Forte will not work on your 2020 model. • Trailer Hitch and Towing Equipment Suggested for 2022 Toyota Corolla
Per the owner's manual, Toyota doesn't recommend towing with the 2022 Corolla nor do they recommend installing a hitch. We can't recommend anything that contradicts the owner's manual, but many folks install a hitch anyway. If you decide to do so anyway and keep the weight you tow to a minimum, you could install the Curt # C34UR hitch and use a lightweight utility trailer like # K2MMT4X6. The trailer itself only weighs about 300 lbs, and I'd personally have no qualms using such a trailer...

I'd be happy to help you with that. You'd need to begin with a trailer taillight converter harness like part # 118467.
