A good looking, solid well engineered rack. Am not very mechanically gifted but was easily able to perform the few assembly steps right out of the box. Even wrenches needed for assembly included with the small amount of hardware. Highly recommend.

Review from a similar OnRamp in Hitch Bike Racks

I do love my bike rack but I feel the ramp would function better if it was a little bit wider and higher on the sides. When rolling bike up ramp my tires often slip off. If a revision is ever made I would purchase!!

Review from a similar OnRamp in Hitch Bike Racks

Waiting to actually take our Ebikes on our first trip. Received my Yakama ramp the other day and like the way the bikes feel mounted to the car. After a long wait for delivery the rack was delivered and looked great the way it was packaged. Other than the very first step in the instructions showing an error in hole alignment for attaching the rack to the tongue, things were easy to follow. It took quite a bit of time to adjust everything on the rack to fit my particular bikes but now that we are set it looks and feels good. The weight of the rack is a bit more than I anticipated but it feels solid.

Review from a similar OnRamp in Hitch Bike Racks

A stable and easy to use rack with deficiencies that cost it a star. The locking system for tilting the rack is awkward and unnecessarily cumbersome with 2 pins. The rack needs to be jiggled to remove and insert the pins. At this price point Yakima should have done a better job. I have used hitch bike racks that do not need 2 people to tilt for access to the hatch. Also the bolt that attaches the rack to the hitch has an oversize head >22mm that is uncommon for most ratchet/wrench sets that makes it difficult to torque it down.

Review from a similar OnRamp in Hitch Bike Racks

Very well made product. Easily holds two heavy ebikes securely. Easy to install and take on and off the vehicle. Folds up easily. Ramp works great and easy to use. After much research this turned out to be the perfect solution. The etrailer video was helpful as well.

Ask the Experts about this Yakima Hitch Bike Racks

  • Best Bike Rack for Class II 1-1/4 Inch Hitch for E-Bikes With Fenders
There are a pair of options for bike racks that work with a Class II trailer hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver and have the weight capacity for e-bikes while being compatible with fenders. The two bike racks that you can use are the following: - Yakima OnRamp E-Bike Platform Rack # Y96FR - Thule EasyFold XT E-Bike Platform Rack # TH903202 These are the best bike racks for your hitch because they are the simplest to use, offer numerous convenience features, and are frame-mounted so fenders...

  • Is Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack Available for 2 Inch Receiver Hitches
We do indeed offer the Yakima OnRamp for a 2 inch hitch as part # Y36FR. The OnRamp can carry 2 bikes weighing up to 66 lbs apiece, and can also carry Fat bikes with the addition of the # Y23FR strap kit. The rack includes a cable lock, and the locking hitch pin is available as part # Y07235

  • Best Bike Rack for Heavy E-Bikes with a 1-1/4 Hitch Receiver
That 65-lb-per-bike requisite is a lot for a 1-1/4" hitch-mounted rack, but luckily we have one that just meets it! It's the Yakima On-Ramp, part # Y96FR. This rack, as the name implies, features a ramp to help with loading those heavy bikes and an integrated cable lock. It comes with the now-standard tilt-away and fold-in functions, allowing you access to your hatch while loaded and lower profile when unloaded. It mounts to the frame of the bikes, so you don't need to worry about fender...

  • Are Fat Tire Straps Needed for 3.3 Inch Tires on Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack
Even though your tires are just slightly larger at 3.3 inches than the 3.25" the OnRamp is designed to work with, I do recommend adding the Fat Tire Straps for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack # Y23FR. The issue is that tires that wide could mean there isn't enough room for the straps to fully latch, so even though you may be able to get them to work with the standard straps, it is a good idea to get the straps just to know for sure your bike is safe and secure. The Fat Tire Straps will work...

  • Recommended Platform Bike Rack For Two 55lb Magnum Ui6 Electric Bikes With Fenders
To carry your two Magnum Ui6 Electric Bikes I recommend the Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR if your vehicle has a 1-1/4" trailer hitch receiver, or # Y36FR if you have a 2" trailer hitch receiver. The Yakima OnRamp has a maximum weight capacity of 66lbs per bike, which will work perfectly for you since your two Ui6 bikes weight in at 55lbs each. One of the best features is that the cradle to attach to your bikes is adjustable and can be rotated, allowing it to attach to the cross tube of your...

  • E-Bike With Wider Tires Fit On Yakima OnRamp Rack
Yes the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes Part # Y96FR can work with e-bikes that have wider than the recommended 3.25" tires. You will need to purchase separately the Fat Tire Straps for Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack Part # Y23FR. The tire straps come in a pack of two, so if you are looking to carry two bikes with tire sizes up to 4.5" you will need to purchase two packs of straps.

  • Can the Yakima OnRamp Work with a Low-Step Bike?
The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # Y96FR will work with a low-step or a step-through bike if there is a crossbar on the bike's frame. The securing cradles on the mast of the OnRamp can be adjusted all the way along the straight bar in order to match the height and style of the bike's frame. If, however, you have a bike that does not have a center frame bar at all (like some models of the Cannondale, the Gazelle C10, and the Trek Verve 3+), I recommend a Swagman Deluxe...

  • Which Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for Electric Bikes Fits in a 2 Inch Hitch Receiver
There's actually a specific Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes for vehicles with 2" Hitches available with part # Y36FR, but there is not an adapter included with the # Y96FR to make it compatible with a 2" receiver. There are 2 different bike racks that will be the best for what you're trying to achieve; the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202, and the Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR. They are compatible with Class II 1-1/4" hitches like what you have on your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, they are rated for heavier e-Bikes with different frame designs like what you have, plus they have a tilt-away feature to help you gain access to the rear cargo of your minivan. The Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes does come in a 1-1/4" version which you can find here: # Y96FR. Since this carrier attaches to the bike's frame, it is compatible with bikes that have fenders, baskets, or oddly-shaped frames like step-thru design. Yes the Yakima OnRamp part # Y36FR does tilt down to help with rear cargo area access like you can see in the attached picture you mentioned. The only functional difference between this rack and the # Y96FR is the hitch it is designed to fit like you noticed. # Y96FR fits 1-1/4 inch hitch and # Y36FR fits 2 inch hitch. This is a good question, as a lot of people want to know the real differences between the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202 (which fits both a 1-1/4" & 2" hitch) and Yakima OnRamp # Y96FR (fits 1-1/4" hitch) & # Y36FR (fits 2" hitch). I've linked to a video installation of this hitch for you to reference. However, if you need a longer strap, you can switch out the original strap with fat straps # Y02470. These straps will work in the cradles of the OnRamp for attaching your bike's frame.
