This 2-bike rack has an integrated ramp that lets you easily roll your heavy electric bikes up and onto the trays - no lifting required. When you're done simply remove the ramp and store it onboard. Tilts with bikes loaded for cargo area access.
Features:
Specs:
Telescoping Ramp
The OnRamp includes a telescoping, aluminum ramp so you can easily roll your e-bikes on and off the rack - no heavy lifting required. The ramp telescopes to ensure it touches the ground so you don't have to lift your bike at all. It can also be used to decrease the angle of approach to make loading even easier. It stores behind the bike trays, so you don't have to put it in your vehicle or risk misplacing it.
Padded Clamps with Ratchet Straps
Padded, rotating clamps grab your bikes by the frame or seat post to ensure safe transport with minimal movement and noise. They move up and down the center mast independently, so you can position them to fit bikes of any frame style.
Sliding Wheel Straps
The wheel trays have sliding ratcheting straps to secure your rear wheel to the rack. The straps slide along the tray to accommodate bikes with a variety of wheelbases. To secure your wheel, run the strap over the rim and back down through the strap buckle and pull tight. To remove your bike, press the quick-release button on the buckle and undo the strap.
Release Knob for Easy Tilting and Folding
The rack tilts with bikes loaded for easy access to your vehicle's rear cargo area. From behind the rack, pull the release knob at the base and tilt the rack down away from you. When you raise the rack back up, the pin will automatically re-insert and make an audible click to let you know it's secure.
It also folds up when not in use. This leaves a smaller footprint, so you can keep the rack on your vehicle to park in your garage. And if you want to remove it, it doesn't take up as much space to store it.
Easy, Bolt-On Installation
To install the rack, simply slide the shank into your receiver and screw in the anti-rattle hitch pin. This threaded pin helps eliminate rattle in the hitch receiver during transport.
Complete Security
A cable lock is included to secure your bikes to the rack and the rack to your vehicle. The thick, steel cable threads through your bike's frames, and locks back onto the hitch pin, preventing the pin from being removed from the hitch pin hole. The cable also has a soft rubber cover that won't scratch or scuff your bikes' paint.

However, Yakima immediately shipped out replacements. It carries two large E bikes easily. They fasten solidly and are easy to load and unload!
etrailer: prompt delivery, fair price!
Rack: It does fit my (2) Gazelle T10 eBikes. 1) I found I had to adjust every setting to get bikes to fit. Until you learn there are many adjustments, it does not seem like the center/vertical clamps will reach both seat posts. 2) The ramp is barely usable; my wheels are max it will fit and you must have at least 12ft of clearance on each side of car to get bike lined up with ramp. 3) My bikes have a "walk" feature, this is not usable as its too awkward to hold the walk button down and move around the rack. I found its easier to abandon the ramp and load front then rear wheel. I will rig up a wheel stop, on ends of each wheel holder so bike will not roll off while I strap it in. 4) Rack did NOT come with a lock for hitch pin; this is very disappointing as they say in manual this is an optional item. Every rack I have seen at least has a clip that would otherwise hold the hitch pin in if somehow the bolt loosened up. 5) The rack weight is the lightest I have found. 6) You must load the first bike (closest to car) from car passenger side. This will avoid you bike pedals hitting the vertical bar. That means you must load the 2nd bike manually as there is no way to get the pedals past the vertical bar. I will get used to this, I hope. 7) The rack is a few inches above the receiver (part that goes into hitch) so if you have a low hitch this might be an issue with ground clearance. With both bikes mounted up, it seems very stable and hopefully will be secure in travel.

Thank you for all of the points. The ramp length is 52 inches so it is important to have that space available to utilize the ramp. The hitch lock that secures the rack to your vehicle is sold separately at item # Y07235. There is about a 6 inch rise from your hitch receiver to the lowest point of the rack.

After 6 months, I am not happy with the fit of bikes on this rack I sold it and got a Kuat NV Base 2.0 Hitch Bike Rack. YES its more $$ but a much more solid rack, no slop at all and it also folds up. YES its heavier, YES the rack knob sticks WAYYYY out when rack is folded up.
Arrived shortly after ordering and we assembled the same day. Carried our electric bike first time and with a few adjustments to decrease bike movement we should be good to go. Love how easily and nicely it folds up.

Not as great as we had hoped. After you replaced the defective screw that attaches the ramp to the rack, it fell off while driving in the 2nd trip. Also Aventon bike frames are too thick for the attachment piece. We have to add foam pieces to tighten it enough. We had to order an extender bar and that only works as long as the bikes face the same direction. We also have to tip these heavy E bikes around the center post. I had called and texted for help wo response. All in all, not a great rack for our E-bikes .

I am sorry to hear about the issues with bike rack. We have the picture of your bikes however I wanted to see if you could send a picture of the bikes on the rack.

Great pics! I did a little digging and while the Yakima OnRamp is a good rack for a variety of bikes, it is not the best fit for the Aventon bikes. Yakima is updating the OnRamp bike rack to work with a wider range of ebikes and will have a longer frame strap. This will be released in the spring of 2024. Another rack option would be part # HLY84FR. It is a solid rack that has a hook that would fit over the frame versus grabbing on like the OnRamp. It does not though have many of the options that the OnRamp gives.
I must say I have never had a better experience buying a product online! The videos comparing various ebike racks were every informative, candid and helped make an informed decision. I was amazed by the swift delivery - 36 hours after ordering the rack, it was at my front door. Tracking transit of the rack is extremely well integrated on the etrailer website. Yakima wanted $XX to ship their rack and etrailer shipped free. I wholeheartedly recommend eTrailer to anyone wanting a hassle free and professional transaction.

Still working great and happy I decided to purchase the Yakima On Ramp. Thanks for the follow up.
works for my setup. I have 2 lectric bikes and it carried them no problem. My minor issue is my Outdoors RV Trailer is high off the ground and the "ramp" is much too short to be helpful.

We still love this bike rack. It has held up well with our 2 lectric bikes.
The tracks support wide tires, but clearly not for the offroad version wide tires that my Aventon bikes have and the ramp to load the bikes is completely useless as it is not wide enough for the tires so you just cannot keep the bike on the ramp. So, you have to lift the heavy bike up onto the rack and it takes two people, one to lift it in place and another to hold it while strapping it down. The center bar is not adjustable in placement and so very difficult to get two bikes properly mounted.
This bike rack is very well designed and easy to use. The ramp provides a great option for easy loading and unloading. The design of the clamps that attach the bikes to the rack is excellent because it works on bikes of different sizes and brands. Whenever someone mentions getting an e-bike, I recommend this rack.

Excellent! The rack is easy to use and the design is very functional. It secures easily to the car and the bikes and all can be locked into place.
I would have given it a 5 star except for the ramp. I have Specialized Como e-bikes. The ramp is not wide enough to fit my tires (27.5x2.3) very well. It is a a little difficult to track the bike up the ramp. Otherwise it is a quality bike rack and works as stated,
In a Honda CRV, just finished a round trip, North Carolina to Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and back, carrying an e-bike and road bike, over 3500 miles. Bikes were rock solid on back, no movement between bikes and rack. Heavy e-bike easy to roll up supplied ramp, road bike a simple lift. Super system! Being paranoid about theft, several different types of bike locks were used. We're soon off on a cross country to Washington State and back, and I am adding a durable cover over the bikes, protecting them from rain and curious eyes.
I have no hesitation recommending this when an e-bike is too heavy for a another type rack.
Great Rack - Very Happy!
We just purchased 2 x e-bikes which weigh about 52 lbs each. Was debating between this and the Thule. Chose the Yakima because fo the positive reviews I read and very happy I did. Assembly and Installation wasn't difficult but it did take some time to get everything adjusted correctly. But once I did, it's only about 10 minutes to load / unload the bikes. The rack is very sturdy and transported our bikes safely and securely. In addition, service from etrailer was fantastic. Communication was awesome and delivery was great. Both the Yakima OnRamp and etrailer.com highly recommended!

Still working great! I use it at least once a week and is easy to install and secure bikes. We took it on a coule pretty long road trips with no issues.
Bike Rack was easy enough for a 66 year old female to pull out of box and put together. I did have help lifting it into the hitch receiver, however from there it was just adjusting it. Be aware if you have a Jeep Wrangler and your spare tire is mounted on the rear you will not be able to open your swing gate even with rack in lower position, that is the only thing I failed to research.
All the right features for your ebike. My wife loves the ramp system because it makes it effortless to get the bike in the rack.
I purchased this for a Quietkat e-bike and would love it except the tires on the bike are wider than the rake and ramp.

Still performing as expected
Everything is good except for the ramp. It advertised for fat tires up to 3.25 and the ramp is only 21/4 “ wide.
I would like to see Yakima make a wider ramp for that rack.
Thank you Andrew Combs
Ramp is a bit flimsy but a whole lot better than lifting a 60 pounds Ebike. Tracs ought to be wider. Ought to be a "stop" at one end, hard to hold the bike with one hand and to position the center clamp with the other hand. Too much clearance between the pivot joint hole and the bolt. All those minor negatives being stated, it was this one or the Thule, and I selected this one because it is several hundreds of dollars less costly. Overall, I am happy with it and plan to make a wheel stop to attach to one end.
Well made product. Does rock a little in the receiver.
I lost a tire tie down strap, called Yakima customer support and they sent out a replacement without hesitation.
My experience was 5 star. The purchase was a Yakima bike rack to accommodate e bike and approved for 5th wheel travel trailer.
The review videos are extremely helpful and information about the product was thorough. The rack shipped within days. Another plus.
In my general search for the rack I was happy to see etrailer as a seller. I have done business with you in the past. Always satisfied.

Gotta love the eBike and am very satisfied with the Yakima bike rack. The rack is easy to attach and detach from vehicles. The mounting ramp is perfect for loading the eBike 60lbs and 3 clamps securely hold the bikes in place. I have a Specialized bike with fenders if that makes a difference to readers of this review
With the assistance of the helpful staff at etrailer, we landed on the bike rack that works great for our needs. With an e-bike that is heavy to lift, it is nice having the ramp to load and unload and the frame supports are flexible enough to mount on both of our bikes without needing a bike adapter bar.
We used this bike rack on the back of our GD Solitude as we traveled full-time for one year. We used it for our two Lectric E-bikes. After towing about 20k miles in all seasons, through more than 25 states, it dead a good job overall. The rack holds the fat tires of the Lectric bikes and the ramp was great. Many people commented on the convenience of the ramp as we traveled across the country. The only issue we had was some rubbing (friction) between bikes, even with continual checking and use of the vertical bar and cuffs. The plastic zip straps are very strong. Initially we read that we might have to buy the extended length straps, but the stock ones worked fine in our application.
We've really appreciated the bike rack. My wife loves that she's able to load her heavy e-bike unassisted. We do have a shim attached that we use to stabilize the side-to-side movement of the bicycles. That has done a lot for our feeling of security with our very small car.
This is a very strong, sturdy bike rack. It carries our 2 heavy e-bikes with little or no movement or vibration. Very easy to lower the bikes on the rack to access tailgate too.
I’m disappointed with the wheel cups. Too narrow for fat tire ebikes. There is no option to switch them out or item available by Yakima. I have a new Toyota Tundra , the Yakima hitch male receiver rattles , vibrates and bounces the bikes.

There is good news about the fat tire ebikes. You can use part # Y23FR to secure a fat tire to the rack. They are straps that can fit sizes up to 26-inch x 4.5-inch, 27.5-inch x 4.5-inch, and 29-inch x 3.25-inch tires. Sometimes the anti-rattle hitch pin that comes with the rack may not be enough to eliminate rattle completely. I recommend adding on an anti-rattle device like part # e99007 or part # RM-061 to help further reduce movement in the hitch receiver.
This is a great bike rack. We use it to carry two e-bikes and have had no issues. One bike has fenders and the other is a step through - the adjustable clamps and wheel cradles make it easy to secure the bikes. One has balloon tires, and just fits inside the wheel cradle, so I’m not sure how a fat tire bike would work. The ramp is awesome, can be placed on either side, is long enough to be helpful, and short enough to stow. When the rack is folded up, it fits snug to our vehicle.

This is a great bike rack for my two e-bikes. I love the ramp feature and the fact that it folds up nice and flat against the rear of the car when not in use.
Excellent e bike rack. I used a front mount hitch to use this unit. Wife and I bought EBC bikes to use on our trips. We have a 5th wheel that made me use this mount.
Perfect car rack. Love the ramp. Quick and efficient shipping and delivery.

This rack is absolutely awesome. Very easy to load and unload to E bikes. Anyone can do it completely by themselves. With the ramp, you just roll the bikes on and roll the bikes off.
