It is very well built and the powder coating is very tough, took a good grinding to get it off for the welds. Good price as well. I used it for my 2006 Bounder 35E, not because it was a high rate hitch, as I did not need one, but this was the only one that would lower the hitch to a more normal height from the ground. The old hitch was so high a 10" deep was not enough to use a trailer parallel to the ground. Now I can hook up a lot easier and not worry about scraping. Looks good too.

by:

attached this hitch to my 1984 American General 5 ton military truck. Had to do some modification to air lines and drill a few holes but it is perfect for pulling civilian trailers with the M 813.

by:

Well, I really respect the fact that they waited for one year before asking for a review, they offer a 2 inch and a 2 1/2 inch receiver the 2 1/2 inch receiver would obviously be a larger rectangle to accommodate a half an inch, the vertical uprights I received had holes pre-cut to accommodate a 2 1/2 inch receiver I ordered a 2 inch receiver, needless to say, there was an abundance of slop, half inch gaps, requiring a lot of fabrication on either side of the vertical uprights, knowing this now, going with the 2 1/2 receiver should have saved a ton of unnecessary fabrication time.

by:

Was able to position the hitch where I wanted on a chassis cab and it works great.

by:

works as it should still a year latter

Great service. Quick shipment. You guys are awesome.

It’s beefy and solid. The mounting bracket square holes had to be cut in a smidge and he added two more support bars.. but all in all. My welder said it would tow 11-12 k. Not the 16k I was told. But hey. I’m okay with that. There was a shipping issue which forced me to reschedule a few things, that is the only reason I gave 4 stars. Otherwise I am supper happy with how it turned out.

by:

Great quality product from Curt . Can be easy installation depending on the application.. mine more difficult because of aluminum alloy frame, so will have to do some reinforcing.

by:

I put this on my 03 Freightliner Columbia. It does everything I want it to. It is bolted and welded.
I like it so much that a bought another one and put it on my old school bus. That one is just bolted on.

by:

Perfect fit on my 2009 blue bird

by:

Very happy with this hitch. The size of the end plates matched the frame on our old truck and with the class V weight rating, our old truck can do a few other things around the farm now. Thank you.

Fast shipping

by:

Added (welded) to our diesel pusher Motorhome and have no issues and really no worries while towing whatever we feel we need while camping.

by:

I think you guys should send me some ap parel!

by:

Exactly what we wanted. Worked perfect on our recent, extended trip to Alaska and back.

by:

Solid as stone!!

by:

I welded this up on my 2004 GMC converted school bus, it worked great with minimal bumper notching

by:

This hitch was exactly what was needed for my landscaping customer's small dump body truck. It replaced the original custom hitch with only minor modifications to accommodate the cargo body. I have done considerable work for this customer over many years. No issues reported with this job. All good!! Thanks to Curt and etrailer for great products and stellar service. —

Brent was amazing with his attention to detail. He made sure I received the correct hitch and a follow up on my delivery. Thanks again

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For A 1987 Mazda B2600 4x4 Truck
When it comes to installing a trailer hitch on your 1987 Mazda B Series Pickup we do have options for you but we do not have a direct fit hitch available. I recommend The Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets - 2 inch Receiver - 44 inch Wide # C99CR. This hitch will have to welded onto your vehicle. The hitch has a black powder coat finish which resists rust and corrosion. I recommend checking your manual to know the proper towing capacity of your vehicle. This hitch will fit...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For Early 1970s Ram Pickup With 38.5" Frame
We do have a potential option for a trailer hitch that will fit your early 1970s Ram pickup. Unfortunately none of the custom bolt-on hitches we carry will fit a 38.5" frame. So your best bet will be to go with a Universal Weld-On hitch like the Curt # C99CR. This hitch has adjustable flanges and will fit frames up to 44" wide. The hitch itself is rated for towing up to 16,000 lbs. This is something that would need to be taken to a professional welder/fabricator for installation.

  • Trailer Hitch Fitment for a 2005 Ford E-350 Passenger Van Bus
Great question, Adrian! For your 2005 Ford E-350 set up as a passenger van bus you will need to have a heavy duty universal hitch installed like the Curt # C99CR. This type of hitch installs by welding so you'll need to have a shop or certified welder help you plan out the installation. If you don't already have a shop you plan on working with we have an installer locator I'm linking to this page for you to reference and see who is in your area to help you with the isntallation.

  • Best Trailer Hitch for a Bus with 39" Frame Rail Spacing
Thanks for reaching out, Andrew! The best solution for adding a hitch to your bus is the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C99CR since there aren't any custom options for your bus. Since this is a weld-on installation you'll need to have an experienced welder do the installation to make sure it is capable of safely towing your trailer.

  • Available Front and Rear Hitch for a 2011 Volkswagen Amarok
I might have something that will work for you, however there are no custom fit hitches for the 2011 Volkswagen Amarok. We have weld-on hitches available in the link I have provided below. You can look through them to see which one may fit your needs best. I recommend the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch w/ Brackets # C99CR for your 2011 Volkswagen Amarok. This hitch will give you the flexibility to adjust, trim, and fit the hitch to your truck. This will also give you a 2" hitch receiver...

  • Solution for Front Mount Hitch on 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500
I do have a solution, but there are no custom fit options available for your 2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500. What you can use is a universal hitch like the Curt # C47CR. This is a Class V weld-on hitch so we recommend taking it to a certified welder for installation. The hitch has a 2" receiver, a 9" drop, and fits vehicle frames 18-44" wide. If you need taller brackets the # C99CR is also available with an 18" drop.

  • Hitch For C5500 GMC Truck
For a commercial vehicle such as the GMC C5500 you will need an universal hitch such as the Curt # C97CR Class-5, with 2-1/2” receiver, and fitting frame beams 18” to 62” in width with a 20,000 pound tow capacity. If you do not need one as wide you could select the 44” wide Curt # C37CR, or the 44” wide Curt # C99CR hitch with an 18” drop and 16,000 pound tow rating. I have included links to each of these items.

There are a number of options for Class V trailer hitch receivers that are weld-on options and fit a frame width of 33-1/2 inches, it just depends on what is best for your application in terms of drop (there isn't anything custom fit for your Isuzu, hence a weld-on hitch being the only option). - Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch with Brackets # C99CR This hitch will fit that frame distance and produces a drop of 18 inches from the frame of your Isuzu. - Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on...

We do have options for a hitch for your Isuzu box truck with a 33.5" frame. I recommend the Curt Class 5 Universal Weld-on Hitch # C99CR. This hitch can be adjusted to fit frames between 18" and 44" wide. The side flanges are 18" tall, and can be fabricated to fit a wide variety of vehicles. This is technically a class 5 hitch rated for 16,000 lbs. We do not offer any class 4 bolt on options as this time.

While we more than likely have a hitch or hitch plate that will fit your 2003 Freightliner Columbia, we do not have one that is confirmed to fit.
