Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Class 5 service body hitch receiver with a two inch by two inch trailer hitch opening. This Class 5 service body hitch receiver will handle towing loads up to 16,000 pounds. It is designed for service body applications, and it is a weld-on installation. The hitch receiver comes with a two inch by two inch trailer hitch opening, that's the receiver tube opening right here. This will allow you to insert standard two inch by two inch items and accessories and it comes with a standard 5/8 inch diameter hitch pin with a clip to secure those items to the receiver tube of the hitch. It also comes with two mounting plates that are adjustable along the main tube of the hitch so it's a really nice design. What you do is you take this, place it on and then you can adjust it to where you need it for your application.
It comes with two of those. These measure 18 and 5/16 inch tall by 8 7/8 to 9 inches wide. The safety chain connection points, let me roll this up and you can see those. Those are a nice, large design, they measure three inches wide by one and 3/8 inches deep. The tube itself, that's this body right here, this is 62 inches long and it's a three and a half inch by three and a half inch square design.
On the ends of the tube, we have tube caps that are welded onto the ends to keep out dirt and grime and prevent corrosion.I also want to point out that the two inch opening goes all the way through to the back of the unit so there's no stop or plug to prevent your accessory from going in all the way. That two inch by two inch opening goes all the way through, all the way to the back and it's open all the way. Again, tube caps keep out dirt and grime, prevent corrosion to the hitch. We're looking at a durable carbon steel construction with nice corrosion resistant black powder coated finishing and the maximum gross trailer weight is 16,000 pounds. Maximum tongue weight capacity is 1,600 pounds.
And that's going to do it for today's look at the Class 5 service body hitch with the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening.
