Question:
Hello, looking at C15445 to use on a 2017 Windsport with a Ford F-53 frame. According to Ford,it is the equivalent to a F-550 with a 34 inch width from outside frame rails. Will this fit and if not,is it returnable ? Thanks

Expert Reply:
With your Ford F-53 chassis under your 2017 Windsport you will need to use a receiver like the Curt Weld-On # C99CR. The F-53 and F-550 frames are different and do not use the same mounting holes. There is not a custom fit receiver for the F-53 as the chassis can be modified by the RV manufacturer and would require different options for different RVs. Be sure to verify your exact tow rating as well as the F-53 is rated much lower than the F-550.
If you attempted to install the Curt # C15445 knowing it is not confirmed to fit you F-53 chassis it would not be returnable.
