I like the hitch and it will serve me very well for work and recreation. A huge improvement over the stock bumper support receiver. I have to give 4 stars because of the rear drivers side cross member bolt could not be installed. I had the same issue as other reviewers which was the hole being a little off. I will be enlarging the hole and getting a new bolt since the threads of the old one were damaged trying to get it in.
I gave this hitch a 5 star rating, this is for the hitch itself.
The install was greatly added by the use of the fish wires for the bolts.
It took about 3 hours to install this hitch, the fit was extremely tight,
with a floor jack under the hitch and almost picking the truck off the floor
it still took a 4# hammer and a block of wood to persuade the hitch into the frame
after loosening the upper bumper crossmember bolts, the rearmost factory bolts then took two pry bars and four hands to get the last bolt started. Once finally started the bolts pulled the hitch up into position and swaged the hitch into the bumper braces.
The hitch seems to be well built and heavy duty the only problem is the alignment of the two rearmost holes and the extremely snug fit.
The hitch also looks good after the installation was complete, I didn't get a picture of the installed hitch, this was on my son inlaws pickup.
This hitch is a little bit more rugged than what i will probably need, but I’m glad I bought this one. Shipping was right on schedule. A few minor scratches in the paint but I blame the delivery driver. Hitch was slightly bent from being tossed around during delivery so it took a little bit of maneuvering to line the bolt holes up. Once lined up it went in easy. Probably around 1.5 hours for install time. 19mm and 21mm sockets. Pull wires definitely made it a lot easier. Video explained installation perfectly. Looks great on the truck, have not tried it out yet but I can’t wait to! I’ve bought a few products from etrailer and I’m happy every time. They know their stuff. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone!
Good product heavy hitch. Box was damaged but seemed ok. difficult to install alone two people install for sure. Fits very tight needed a big hammer to help into place maybe a little damaged during shipping who knows.

It may have been a bit flexed which is a common occurrence in hitch receivers. I am glad that you got it installed.

It took a bit of doing, which was more an issue with my specific truck, but with some extra 'oomph' we were able to install this hitch in a relatively short time. Am important addition to my vehicle, at a reasonable price point. Ordering and delivery were both quick and painless. I'll order from you guys again when the need arises!
Easy install thanks etrailer! Simple, extremely quick shipping and follow up. That's great customer service. Few simple tools 19&21mm sockets ratchet and torque wrench and about 1.5 hrs I had hitch and brake controller installed in my 2017 ram. I used a little anti seize on all bolts.
etrailer.com was very helpful with the specifications for trailer hitches, and sent their recommended hitch to us very quickly.
*** Installation was a nightmare. ***
When we first tried to install it from underneath, none of the holes could be aligned. We removed the bumper, and the rear cross-member (that the bumper was bolted to), so that we could assemble it on the ground before putting it in, and it still needed modification. Putting the bolts though with a string as instructed was not a simple task, but it was the easiest part of this installation. The instructions are vague. Once the assembly was put back into the truck, 4 of the remaining holes needed to be modified (the furthest forward in the truck and the middle holes).
It hard to understand how Draw-Tite got the holes to be mis-aligned this much.
It took a day of grinding and some pry bars to get it in.
If I didn't need it soon, I would have sent it back.
The hitch does look and feel strong now.
The Draw Tite Ultra frame is a beautifully made trailer hitch and very beefy. It looks great and fits perfect. Though it is an Extremely tight fit and took two people to install it about 45 minutes. Highly recommended.
Hitch went on great after some slight persuasion with a pry bar to line up the factory holes. I thankfully had an impact wrench on hand which made installtion that much better. All in all it took me about hour that from the time i started dropping the spare tire to securing the spare tire. Feels very strong fit nice and snug. The fish wire for the bolts was really handy!
Love the receiver hitch. It was not that hard to put on and it looks great too..Will be pulling open and enclosed trailers. I submitted a picture of the hitch installed.

Fast shipping and easy install! Installed in on my 2016 Ram 1500. Just followed the video and had it on in about an hour. Pretty tight fit just had to shimmy it in there for a second then went right into place. A second pair of hands makes it so much easier. Possible alone if you have some stands to hold it in place I guess. Really happy with it, looks clean!
I have a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500. This is the hitch that I’ve been looking for to tow my toy hauler Instructions was easy to read I put the hitch on all by myself it’s a perfect fit can’t wait to try it out. I would recommend this hitch to anybody that’s looking to buy a hitch it is definitely what the picture shows it’s totally heavy duty
Shipping was a little sketchy, as you can tell from the photo. Not etrailer’s fault...looks like the shipping company didn’t even slow down when they delivered it. Either way, all the parts/hardware were present. Pretty easy install and it seems solid. Haven’t hauled anything yet but I don’t think it is going to be an issue with this thing. Took a little longer than expected, mostly bc I did it alone. Watch the [online] install video. Helped a good bit.

Very easy to install , only took me about 30 minutes and that was because I had to locate my tools that someone had barrowed without my knowledge lol..
This will help save my bumper and tag from being damaged from my trailer tong also ..
This is a heavy duty hitch receiver! I was able to install it by myself, but I had to use two straps to hold it in place…. And getting it in the installation position took some effort… whew! Needless to say, easy enough to install and a perfect fit on my 2022 Ram 1600 Classic- Regular Cab- Short bed.
Shipping time was great I did have a little bit of trouble getting one bolt hole lined up it seems to be a bit of a tight fit for it but i got it cant wait to test it out.

Very strong and a good fit, a line up pry bar is a big help because it is a tight fit to line up those holes. Hitch is not very intrusive and it tucks nicely under the bumper. Very happy with it and it took me about 50 minutes to install and I didn't even skin my knuckles lol.
couldnt get one crossmember bolt in didnt fit between frame corectly

I am wondering if the hitch side bracket is flexed. Would you be able to send a picture of where the bolt is? If it is flexed, I do have a FAQ that can help move it back into alignment.

A bolt on the frame didnt fit had to use one smaller that fit in the hole
Perfect fit and easy to install.Well hidden when not in use on our 2018 Nissan Rogue.
Horrible installation too narrow had to beat it into place and still not sitting level I would not buy this again waste of money and time
The fit was very tight, but I guess that is better than too big. Overall I am very happy with this hitch.
This is awesome. Ordered it and two days later it arrived. I had it professionally installed to save me time plus they have the torque wrenchs, lifts, and extra hands. It was quick and easy for them to install and I was told it was a darn good deal for the type I got. It has a 12,000lbs tow capacity and I believe my Ram will tow 10,250 to 11,350 depending on what you read so I played the safe card and went big. I added the BMW three way fold away ball to ensure I'm fully covered for all conditions.

This product is Die Hard no issues at all. Bruce Willis would recommend.
My wife and I installed this in the driveway. A jack and 2 jack stands were a great help. I wanted to see how it all fit together, so I took the bumper off (6 bolts) and the cross member the hitch fits around. I bolted the cross member to the two center bolts first, them we lifted the entire assembly into place. This worked extremely well, and allowed us to align each hole as we went without a fight. It is a perfect fit. We followed the instructions on bolt torque, we took our time, this was an easy install. Total time to install for us was just over 2 hours, plus a lunch delay. We will buy from eTrailer again. Great communication and support, and fast delivery.

Hmm it sounds to me that the hitch was flexed in the shipping process. Ill attach a link to a page we have that walks you through a few methods for correcting a bent hitch. It happens a lot and its easier to fix than it sounds!
