Question:

Difficult to get info on the right hitch for my 2018 Ram 1500 Express. I want a class IV, for ~7,000-10,000 towing capacity. Which model of Ultraframe, or Reese, or Curt should fit? Almost ALL websites only let you car models after 2010. Crazy!

For your 2018 Ram 1500 Express, I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Cast Center # 41948. This is a Class V hitch receiver with a 2 inch receiver opening. It is rated for 1500 lbs tongue weight and 12,000 lbs towing and even more when used with weight distribution.

You will also need a product like part # PC3, part # e98880, or part # 63232 to secure the accessory in your 2" trailer hitch receiver.

If you don't already have factory wiring, then I recommend the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This will connect to your factory wiring and draw power from your battery by clipping onto wires to protect your electronics.

For a ball mount, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount # BWTS10037B. This adjustable ball mount will allow you to tow multiple trailers level and has the ability to store the ball behind the shank for a clean look that protects your shins when not in use.
