Question:

I have 2018 ram 1500 4x4 5.7 hemmi motor extra cab it has what looks like factory installed receiver but I want heavier hitch to pull 7000 lb trailer do you have class 3-4 hitch made to fit with factory receiver or can I take factory receiver off and install hitch for 2018 without factory receiver

Yes, you can install a heavier duty hitch on your 2018 Ram 1500. You will need to remove the factory hitch first there are no options to add one and keep the factory hitch. Once this is done I recommend replacing it with the Curt Trailer Hitch item # 14374. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Ram with included hardware.

The Curt item # 14374 has plenty of towing capacity for your 7,000 lbs trailer. It maxes out at 10,000 lbs without a weight distribution system and 12,000 lbs when you are using one.
