Bought this to use a hitch mount bike rack. It's solid. Installation was fairly straightforward. I didn't notice that the nuts for the U-bolt were slightly smaller than the nuts for the carriage bolts, which cost me time/frustration trying to thread the smaller nuts on the carriage bolts. That was my own fault for not checking the nut sizes before I started bolting everything up. If you go through the parts list and organize everything before you start bolting things up it will be easy with basic hand tools plus jackstands/ramps to lift the rear of the car. I used a floor jack to help me lift the hitch in place since I was working by myself. It's pretty heavy so having someone or something to help hold it in place while you bolt it up is key.
Ordered Saturday, Delivered Wednesday, super fast! Except for the obvious clearance problem installation was pretty straightforward, just read the other reviews for helpful tips. Was a little apprehensive about bending the muffler holders but you really have to, wish I had done it BEFORE I mounted the hitch. Great hitch if you want to use a bike rack for your 2015 Fit, as you can see by my photo, you can barely even tell it's there

Perfect hitch for my Honda Fit, driven several thousand miles with 2 bikes on my trailer hitch bike rack and have had ZERO problems, 2 thumbs up!
Easy to install, did need to bend muffler side muffler bracket down a little for proper clearance. Its a good looking hitch receiver. Bike rack works great with it.

Swagman Trailhead 3 Bike Rack - Tilting
The Draw-tite Sportframe class 1 trailer hitch and Swagman Trailhead 3 bike rack were ordered for a 2017 Honda Fit. The online order and shipping went just as expected. The trailer hitch and bike rack are very heavy duty. I recommend watching the trailer hitch install video before installing, whereas the video is very helpful.
The bike rack has triangles that you can rotate to find the best fit for your bicycle's frame. The rubber straps are thick and secure the bicycles when you pull them tight. This bike rack will stay on the vehicle for 6 months each year. The tilt feature and folding arm feature are must haves for a smaller hatchback.
I am pleased with this purchase, it appears to be good quality and good value.
Simple to install and set up, easy to use, durable. I have a lighweight carbon fiber racing bike, but my wife has a heavy e-bike. This Trailer hitch and bike ride easily handles the extra weight of my wife's bike and it's low height makes it a simple task to load a heavy bike. Much better than a roof mounted bike rack!
Easy to install on my 2018 Honda Fit Sport. You won't be towing much weight but it's perfect for bike hitches and lightweight cargo carriers. If you have a 2018+ Sport then you already know that the rear bumper diffuser is a concern with the hitch clearance. It clears it by about 1/2 an inch. Also another concern is the muffler. On the Sport, it will contact the protruding bolt of the hitch when installing. The Fit Sports muffler hanger are both pointed in opposite directions for the 2018 model. It differs slightly than trailer's install video. You will have to bend both hangers slightly up to clear the bolt. It also takes some considerable force.
Get someone to help you, but if you're solo, install the middle U-bolt first to support the weight of the hitch.
I'm using a Kuat Transfer 1 bike rack with this hitch and it clears the bumper perfectly when folded in its upright position.
This is the fourth hitch we have purchased from you and every one has been excellent! Each fit perfectly and the installation videos were very helpful.

Think this one is on the Pacifica. Just great. I use the frame mount hitches primarily for mounting bicycle racks but do have a small trailer that I use for sleeping in on events such as the Florida Bicycle Safari in Live Oak April 25.
Easy install all I really needed was an extra set of hands. Shipment was fast, package was intact with no tears or rips. Receive package with no missing parts, instructions where clear and easy to understand. Also video very helpful. I use the hitch for my Yakima bike rack. This hitch is perfect for this application.
Downsizing so I needed a hitch setup for my 2015 Honda Fit. I have utilized etrailer previously on my daughter's Outback and received the same prompt FREE delivery. Solo install and only a little regret not having a mate to support the hitch when doing the bolt up. No surprises and that is a good thing. Note: Bend the one muffler hanger down about a quarter inch to remove any chance of muffler against bolt head tap. Thanks etrailer.
I purchased the hitch so that I could attach a bike hitch to cart my bicycle, Sandia, and my friend's bicycle, Sylvia, around. While it looks like the bicycles are bigger than my car, I drive to bike trails with confidence, knowing my girls will still be attached when we arrive at the park. We have all had so much fun exploring bike trails this year. It's been awesome.
Good hitch , any hitch you would install on a 2015 Honda Fit would be challenging to put on. Draw tie includes all the things you need plus directions. Also etrailer has good videos on this too. The thing that helped me most was installing the U bolt to just hold the hitch in place
By far the best deal and very easy to install. I was able to install the hitch by myself with the car parked in my driveway, no need to lift it to complete the project.

I , being a mechanic , installed this on an friends Honda Fit . With my automotive connections I couldn’t find a cheaper price locally. We decided to do this on a week night , in the driveway . I wasn’t looking forward to the install . Knowing things take twice as long with a helper, I had the vehicle ready to work on when I got home . By the time my friend showed up it was done . Very easy to install . Easily 5 stars . The fit and finish was excellent .
The hitch itself is fine. They cheap out on the hardware, though. Make sure you can thread the nuts onto all the bolts BEFORE you put the bolts in your frame, as the wire things to feed them in are one time only use. I had one bolt where the threads at the end were so badly made, it was impossible to start a nut. Have fun getting the bolt and spacer out of the frame hole!
This turned into a little bit of a headache.
First Problem: I had to go purchase a new bracket to reduce the noise, no big deal. They warned me about it so I was prepared. Appreciated it, good business practice.
Second Problem: The fit with the bike rack I bought with it (Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches - S64650). Although I greased it ahead of time, the rack still got stuck. So stuck that to remove it for a trip, I ended up actually having to slightly bend the bike rack just to relieve enough pressure so I could pry it out. That essentially rendered the rack unusable. The receiver might have been just slightly smaller than it advertises or the bike rack might have been slightly larger. Not Sure. The hitch is solid though, really strong. Easy to put on. The bike rack... not as much. So for about 4 months, I've had a hitch that I can't actually use.
Despite the little headaches and total loss of the rack (only reason I bought it) I'm giving it 4.5 stars. Its really well constructed & super easy to install. I'd definitely buy it again ….but with a lot more grease.

Sometimes the powder coat or paint gets applied more liberally to a hitch receiver or a shank, making the fit a bit tight. If that is the case, you can sand some of the paint or powder coat off to make the fit a little easier. If you are interested in getting your Swagman XC bike rack # S64650 up and functional again, Swagman does offer a replacement shank, part # P306.
I ordered this hitch cover and a trailer hitch from etrailer.com and couldn't be more pleased. Everything was excellent about the process from the website, pricing, shipping, product quality, and customer service. This is a great company to work with and I would definitely use them again.

This was a great investment. Both my car and I love it! No issues as I solely use it for my bike rack on my Honda Fit.
Product, ( hitch for daughters Honda Fit) . Shipping was so fast. Received in a couple days and shipping box was in great condition. The use is to carry a bicycle rack.
Being older, not as easy to climb under car, but hitch fit and finish was perfect and it installed quite easy. One year later, hitch finish still looks new and function is excellent. Hitch shows no signs of rust or chipping. Nothing else to add about a well designed and finished product. Thank you again.
The three spacers 1/4 x 7/8 x 3 were too large to fit into the factory holes. They all needed to be shaved from 7/8 width to 3/4 width to be able to insert and be manuvered into place. Once this was done, installation was possible.
Also the there are two rubber muffler hangars and one had be replaced with a longer one because the muffler no longer had clearance once the 7/16 x 1-1/4 carriage bolt was installed. The original rubber hangar was too short to strech. Autozone had a good supply to choose from and one was selected that was 3/8 inches longer and ealisy installed without a stretch. If these two issues hadn't arose, I would have given 5 stars on this review. Taping the spaces was a great idea. If the spacers are too large to pass through the chassis holes, place all three of them together in a vice and use a belt sander with 40-60 grit belt to strip metal off. Then use a 220 grit belt for smoother finished surface. Be sure to take metal evenly from both sides and keep the hold centered.

Product works fine after one year.
It's been a year, no problems at all. I had it installed on my 2015 Honda Fit by a mechanic. He didn't complain, so the installation was all right I guess. I use it with a bike rack to carry my bicycle around almost every day. I don't really know what to write here, it's a trailer hitch, it just works.

Great Hitch! Easy install, only thing is they sent 2 of the wrong nuts for the u-bolt. I had to run out to get them, not to bad. Install took me about 1 hour.
I used this to hook up a caddy for my surf fishing cart on a 2018 Honda Fit. Easy to install, although an extra pair of hands would have made it twice as fast. Works great, could not be happier with my purchase! The day after the install I hooked my biggest fish yet from the beach! The hitch adapter has held up well. I go 90 miles round trip to the Alabama Gulf Coast at least once a week, year round. Very Durable...have held up to the sand and salt.

Had this trailer for a year now and its been amazing! I have a 2019 Honda Fit. I live in the mountains where there are steep grades. I actually use it to haul my trash bins down to the pick up area that is about 1/4 mile from my home. It works great with adapters and is very easy to install by yourself with minimal skill or tools.

no rust, No maintenance, Solid!
The hitch has worked great on a 2016 Honda Fit. It was a bit tricky to install around the muffler but the reviews and video were very helpful. We use it for a dual bike rack and it has worked fine even on our longest trip, about 3 hrs transiting NY Metro area.

Have had this hitch about a year now and it continues to work well. No evidence of corrosion in this time period.
Good product, easy installation on my 2017 Honda Fit. Took me an hour from putting my car on the rack to driving away. Used minimal tools. Would say install difficulty was 3/10. Was super helpful to have the instructional videos available.
Did develop a rattle from my muffler hitting the passenger side hardware. Gotta figure out how to eliminate that.
10/10 would recommend.
