I need a hitch for my 2019 Honda Fit so that I can install a bike rack, what should I get?

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2019 Honda Fit is the Draw Tite part # 24920 because unlike the Curt hitch that also fits your vehicle # C11406 it does not require a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack.

For a bike rack I really like the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F.

This is a platform bike rack that only touches the bike at the tires and only weighs 35 lbs. The biggest drawback to platform bike racks has always been the weight of them, but with this rack you get the best of both worlds. The preferred attachment style with the lighter weight.

I have been using the above mentioned Curt hitch, which I bought from you, for a couple of years to carry a bike rack and two bikes. It works great. But I saw that you now recommend a different hitch, because the Curt hitch needs a stabilizer strap for carrying bikes. What do you mean by a stabilizer strap?

At one point Curt did recommend that a stabilizer strap (part # 18050) be used to provide extra support for any non-trailer load (bike racks, cargo carriers, etc). They somewhat recently changed course on this though so it's not something they require anymore. You're good to use the hitch just as you have been the last couple years!
