Pivoting Cradles with Cushioned Straps

Saris Freedom Cuscino Cradle

The Freedom has cradles with ratchet straps that hold your bikes by the downtubes, top tubes, or seat posts. These cradles have a rubber lining that won't scratch or scuff your bike's paint. They also have grooves that accommodate brake lines and cables.

Saris Freedom Adjustable Cradles

The cradles pivot and slide up and down the central mast. This allows the rack to grab your bike's tube at the perfect angle. Twist knobs secure the cradles in place.

Adjustable Wheel Trays

Saris Freedom Wheel Holders

The wheel cradles slide to accommodate bikes with different wheelbases. Each cradle has a ratcheting strap so you can secure your bikes' wheels. Extra-long, ratcheting straps secure your bicycle's fat wheels to the trays. Standard cradles are also included so that you can carry 2 standard bikes, 1 standard bike and 1 fat bike, or 2 fat bikes.

Folding Mast

Saris Freedom 2 Folded

You can fold down the upright mast by pulling a lever at the base. This allows you to easily access your vehicle's rear cargo area, so you can leave the rack in your hitch without it interfering with your cargo hatch or backup camera. The compact design also lets you easily store the rack in your garage when it's not in use.

Easy Installation

Saris Freedom 2 Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin and Adapter Sleeve

It installs with a threaded hitch pin that helps prevent rattling around in your vehicle's hitch receiver. An anti-rattle hitch lock (SA3022 - sold separately) helps deter theft of the rack. You can also thread a cable lock (SA981 - sold separately) through the hole in the base of the rack and through your bike frames to secure your bikes to the rack.

Held up well over thousands of miles hauling bikes around full time rving. Almost impossible to get inner bike off without taking rack out of hitch. Wheel holders should be further from center bar as pedals have to be positioned a certain way to fit and still have rubbing issues.

by:

Everything looked good except one piece was damaged. I just got off the phone with Korren to report the damaged piece and she is sending a replacement part. Both products, bike rack and receiver hitch otherwise looked to be very well built. Your company and representatives, Loren and Korren were very nice to work with on my purchase. Thank you

by:

Bike rack is not long enough for my bikes but I just took it out of the box and found this out so I will take it to a fab shop to lengthen it up

by:

Center support doesn’t lock tight, flimsy center bar. It does not stay locked in upright position. The locking pin doesn’t work very good.

  • Bike Rack Bumper Clearance on a 2017 Toyota Prius Prime with the EcoHitch # 306-X7369
Thanks so much for your order! It looks like you purchased the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 306-X7369. With this particular hitch, we unfortunately do not have the measurements available for the distance of the center of the hitch pinhole to the outside face of the rear bumper of a 2017 model Toyota Prius Prime. With that being said, the Thule T2 Classic # TH9045 will most likely interfere with your rear bumper (when folded up). This is because the measurement...

  • What 2-Bike Hitch Rack do You Recommend for My 2 E-Bikes on My 2015 Hyundai Sonata?
For a great 2-bike electric bike rack for your 2015 Hyundai Sonata, I recommend the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Frame Mount # SA4412B or the fat-bike version # SA4412B-FB. The great thing is that the Freedom comes with a high 60-pound per-bike weight capacity and accommodates bikes with wheelbases up to 48 inches long. Another great benefit of the Freedom is that the bike clamps adjust anywhere along the central mast. This eliminates the need of a bike...

  • Can The Curt 2-Bike Platform Rack Hold A 60lb E-Bike And 45lb Mountain Bike
Hi Lynne, The Curt 2 Bike Platform Rack # C18085 would not be able to handle the weight of your 60lb e-bike. If you don't have fenders then you could switch to a wheel mount design. If you do have fenders then you'll just need to pick up a bar adapter # HRBA-PRO since you have a step-thru frame. Hitch classes will tell you the receiver tube opening size and typical capacity range. When it comes to certain bike racks, especially ones hauling heavy e-bikes, certain class requirements are...

  • Can I Purchase a Larger Bike Saddle for My Fat Tire Electric Bikes on My Yakima HoldUp # Y02445?
I have a solution for you. Unfortunately, I confirmed with my contact at Yakima that they do not make fat-tire cradles for the Yakima HoldUp Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 1-1/4" Hitches # Y02445. The only other option for transporting your fat bikes is to purchase a rack that has cradles that are wide enough to fit your 4-1/2 inch wide tires. While this information may be understandable frustrating to hear, we do have some great bike racks that can carry 2 electric fat-tire bikes. For a great...

  • Do You Recommend a Class II or a Class III Hitch for a Bike Rack on My 2018 Acura RDX?
As far as installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 75784 on your 2018 Acura RDX, it is not overkill for the purposes of of transporting a 2-bike platform rack. Also, since the # 75784 involves a concealed crosstube design exactly like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # C12083, you won't have any bulky eyesores associated with an exposed crosstube. Also, the 2-inch receiver opening has the benefit of being compatible...

  • Recommended Bike Rack To Carry 2 Lectric Fat Tire e-Bikes on Jeep
Lectric Bikes is right on the money. My go-to recommendation is the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE, part # HLY84FR. The rack can handle 2 bikes weighing up to 80 lbs each with tires up to 5 inches in width. To determine if the rack will work on your Jeep, you'll need to find the hitch pin hole in your hitch receiver tube. Measure from the center of the hole rearward until you clear either the furthest rearward point of the back bumper or the furthest rearward edge of the spare tire (if...

  • How Can I Transport Bikes with an Inaccessible Rear Hitch on My 2007 Ram 3500?
I have an answer for you. The only hitch extenders we have that can get you to at the 33 inch clearance you need are made for 2-1/2 inch hitch receivers like the Curt Hitch Extension and Reducer for 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches # C45048. We also carry extenders if you have Titan-brand 2-1/2 receivers like the # RP45292 or extenders for SuperHitch dual 2-1/2 hitch receivers like the # TLE1536. However, even if you happen to have a 2-1/2 inch hitch receiver, we unfortunately do not carry any type...

  • What Bike Rack do You Recommend for 2 60-Pound E-Bikes on My 2011 Toyota Prius Hatchback?
I have a great way to transport your 2 e-bikes that weigh about 60 pounds each. However, the Yakima FullBack 2 # Y02634 and all other trunk bike racks do not have the required weight capacity that you need to safely transport your bikes on your 2011 Toyota Prius hatchback. With that being said, exceeding the 35-pound weight capacity of the FullBack is extremely dangerous. For the doable route, I recommend using a hitch-mounted bike rack. A great rack that provides you with the capacity...

I recommend looking into the Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack # SA4412B-FB. This is a 2 bike carrier which is specifically designed to transport electric fat bikes; it can also hold regular bikes without an issue. It can hold up to 5" wide tires which should be more than enough for any fat bike. However, with that being said, I have a great bike rack that does not require a bike frame adapter. This has a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike and is a highly recommended bike rack for electric bikes. This should clear your spare tire without an issue, but to verify you will want to measure from your trailer hitch pin hole to the rearmost part of your spare tire. For a great hitch for your 2022 Audi Q5 non-hybrid, I recommend the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 391AUDQ518. The Stealth comes with a completely hidden design that gives your Q5 a more factory look without unsightly bulky crosstubes.
