The best way to order the drawbar is to get it from the same source as the hitch of the car. Some drawbars are the right size but may have the wrong safety pin diameter!

This part came with the trailer hitch I purchased. It was very easy to transfer the ball from my 2" hitch and voila I am now ready to haul my trailer.

Comments
am extremely satisfied with the products I purchased. I use theTow Hitch almost daily for my bicycle rack and a trailer I have to tow. The installation was a quick and easy. I have recommended your website to about 20-25 people over the past year. Hopefully you received some business from my recommendations. Thanks for following up. Not all companies take the time.

I'm impressed! You promised my order would be here on Friday. It arrived a day early! Watching the video about installing the hitch said installation time was 40 minutes. I had it installed in exactly 40 minutes. That included the time it took me to search for the tool that I just had in my hand 30 seconds ago. Came inside and watched the video on installing the wiring harness then installed it without a hitch (pun intended)... The whole job took exactly 2 hours. I rarely have a job go that smoothly! Again, I'm impressed. Thank you so much!

I was completely satisfied and very impressed thoughout my first experience with etrailer.com. The website provided exactly the educational material I need to correctly order the products. My order was unexpectedly upgraded for faster shipment, at no cost. The only glitch was the pin and clip were missing. After calling customer service they gave me several options. I bought the pin locally and etrailer.com promptly credit my account for my cost. I'm glad I found etrailer.com and heartily recommend them!

Not very happy with getting a used or returned ball mount from etrailer.com, should not have any rust or dents when I buy a new one. Sending a mail to customer service for a RA#, hopefully they will correct this problem. The wiring harness I order was the other item I ordered and it was in good shape. My experience with them has been up to this point excellent.

I am happy with all of the items I have ordered from etrailer.com. Moreover, I am extremely happy and impressed with the service. Not only was everyone at etrailer responsive but even better- they proactively reached out to me to confirm my satisfaction and even asked me if I wanted to change my order after noting that two parts I ordered would not fit together well. In this era of online ordering they have set the bar so that I wish the would branch out so I could order more from them.

Everything worked as described and the video links and instructions were very helpful. Thanks for checking in after the order arrived in case I had any questions and concerns. This wasn’t my first order with etrailer and it won’t be the last.

I needed a hitch receiver for a 2016 kia soul i am using for the time being to pull a small trailer and for my bike rack. My 15 year old son helped me install it no problem and it works great. Saved me a bunch of money!

It works, With my Honda Fit. I do a an issue, with trailer tongues not being high enough, and chains can drag, if you don't arrange the chains just the right, This may be just more of an issue with a small Honda Fit car that is low to the ground. Does it work - Yes. Do you need to give it a little TLC to keep chains from dragging -yes.

  • Trailer Hitch for 2005 Toyota Corolla
The trailer hitches that fit your 2005 Toyota Corolla are all Class I hitches, and with that class of hitch, the manufacturers have a specific ball mount which is required, and it must be in a particular position. For example, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24913 for your 2005 Corolla, and the required ball mount is the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593, which must be in the rise position only, as you can see by the cut out of the linked installation instructions I added....

I can certainly understand the hesitation of having to trim the fascia to install a trailer hitch in your 2019 Honda Civic sedan, but that's the only way to get a hitch installed because the only hitch that fits this vehicle is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24954. Hitches are designed to fit specific years, makes and models of vehicles which is why the Draw-Tite is the only hitch you can use. The fascia trimming is minor though, just a 2-1/2" x 4" cut out, and it won't be visible...

If the vehicle is higher than the trailer you need a drop but if it's lower you'll need a rise. I have attached a full list of ball mount options below for a 1-1/4" trailer hitch.

Next, you will measure the coupler height from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when the trailer is on level ground. Next, you will need to compute the difference. • Why Can't Class II Accessories Be Used with Class I Trailer Hitch Receiver
Both Class I and Class II trailer hitches have the same 1-1/4 inch receiever opening, however a Class II hitch will have higher towing and tongue weight capacities. The primary issue with using a Class II accessory in a Class I hitch is that many Class I hitch receivers actually have a built-in tab/stopper inside the receiver that physically prevent a Class II accessory from fitting. Trailer hitch manufacturers do this in order to keep a Class I hitch from being overloaded, since a Class...

  • Install 3593 draw bar in the up or down position on a 2005 Honda Element
The orientation your Class I Drawbar, part 3593 will depend on the height of the trailer coupler. With the trailer level, measure from the coupler down to the ground. This is the approximate height you'll need the trailer ball to be. You'll want to install the drawbar so that the trailer ball is as close to this height as possible. Due to the fairly low bumper height of the Element, you'll probably need to install it in the 'up' position.

We do have hitch balls that are compatible with the Draw-Tite Drawbar # 3593 that you are looking at. The 2-5/16" Curt Hitch Ball # A-6 that you referenced is for heavier towing applications and has a shank diameter of 1-1/4" so the shank is too large for the Draw-Tite drawbar.
