Question:

What size trailer would match up well with a Honda Fit? Would the smaller 4x8foot trailers work okay?

Honda states that your 2019 Honda Fit was not designed to tow a trailer so the ideal trailer size would be probably a hitch mounted cargo carrier like the Curt # C18145 with a hitch like the part # 24920 from Draw Tite. I recommend this hitch over the Curt hitch as it does not require the use of a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a cargo carrier like the Curt requires.
