When you need to move serious weight, this hitch is up for the job. It’s rated for a maximum gross trailer weight of 10,000 lbs and a maximum tongue weight of 1,000 lbs. With a weight distribution setup, those numbers climb to 12,000 lbs GTW and 1,200 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with a wide range of towing accessories, from heavy-duty ball mounts to large cargo carriers. It’s a solid choice if you’re hauling campers, boats, or work trailers.
This hitch is built from sturdy, square-tube steel that’s been precision welded by robots for consistent strength and alignment. The gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight off rust and corrosion even through rough weather or road salt. The result is a clean, durable hitch that keeps its strength and finish season after season.
You don’t need to weld anything to get this hitch mounted. It bolts directly to your vehicle’s frame using the included complete hardware kit and installation instructions. The bolt-on design helps ensure a tight, secure fit without any fabrication. It’s designed for everyday DIY tools so you can get it installed and ready for towing without special equipment.
Whether you’re setting up for light- to moderate-duty trailer towing or adding extra gear capacity with a cargo basket or bike rack, this receiver gives you flexibility and strength. The visible cross tube design keeps things simple and accessible while offering plenty of clearance for most towing setups. You can attach the ball mount, pin, and clip of your choice and be ready to haul what you need safely and securely.

Hitch never arrived
Well constructed
Great hitch fit perfect.
Good quality, complete hardware and ins tructions
Well built unit, shipping box had 2 large holes, loose nuts and bolts inside box, had to call customer support to verify I did receive all the hardware, no instructions, customer support sent them to me via email
Box was 100 intact.
Only received 5 bolts and 3 nuts plus 2 of the square hole spacers. Requires more. The hitch is not very solid, and it does not fit well. It wants you to drill thru 1/2 of a rivet and doesn't fit tight to the frame. Not etrailers fault I guess. Last Curt hitch we will purchase.

I'm sorry that some hardware was missing, Shawn. I'll get that sent out for you!
This hitch is very well built and fit perfectly right out of the box. I towed a 22 ft 7000 lb enclosed trailer over 7000 miles with it last summer with no issues. I have recommended this hitch to two of my friends. Only thing I had to do was add a plate to hold the 7-pin connector.
This is a great class IV hitch. I installed it on an 2005 F-350 Cab&Chassis. I had this great ICC bumper made out of 1/4 steel I think that I was considering just welding a receiver to, but then I didn't want to be responsible to losing a trailer that was hitched to something that had to actual rating so I opted for this hitch instead. Two slight problems were encountered with the install. First, the hitch and bumper wanted to occupy the same space, and second I have a 40gal aft gas tank that prevented drilling into the frame. The first problem was solved when I decided to just cut off the bumper cross member and reattach the sides, and the second problem was solved by lowering the gas tank on some jackstands about 8" so I could drill and screw. I needed about 1/4" shim on the bumper sides to account for the width of the hitch side bracket so that the bumper sides were on a flush surface. When I realized that Tasco mounted the whole aluminum bed on 1/2" wood, I decided to use up some pieces of wooden crates instead of using washers. Drilling into the frame is pretty easy once you watch a couple of [online] videos on proper technique (hint: more pressure and less speed). One person can install this easily, especially with the help of a jack. The main harness for the truck runs down the left frame, so be careful not to drill into it. Etrailer email support, prices and fast delivery were superb. Thank Guys.
The hitch requires the drilling of four holes , which I knew before purchase and was easy to do. Hitch came with everything you need to install. I called Etrailer to make sure I got the correct hitch and as always they were a pleasure to deal with.
Arrived but box was torn, only missing one nut.
Two other bolts were loose in the box but luckily didn't fall out during shipping
