Question:

Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2 Item # C14048 Will this fit a Ford F53 2006 Motorhome ? The one installed picture enclosed says that is rated for 5000 lbs but also it is marked as a Class V... why would this be? I need to tow a combination weight of about 7000 lbs Trailer and car Will appreciate your feedback Regards

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class IV - 2" # C14048 is not a fit for your 2006 Ford F-53 motorhome. We do have a few options like the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 18" to 51" Wide # C13702 that is confirmed to fit and also rated for 5,000 lbs capacity.

We don't have anything compatible with your motorhome and the desired use with trailer and car at that capacity. The maximum capacity is 5,000 lbs. This is based on the hitch receiver itself which is rated independently for capacity. The fact that the receiver is on an extended frame and the space between the axle and the back of the vehicle is also likely a restriction but you will need to contact the manufacturer for any restrictions based on the chassis itself.
