The brake controller I recommend for your 2007 Ford E-450 is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3, part # 90195. This is one of our most popular controllers because it is easy to install and operate.
I also recommend the brake controller adapter, part # 3035-P. This simply plugs into the back of the brake controller and the other end plugs into the connector located under the driver side of the dash below the fuse assembly. There are 2 connectors under the dash and you want to make sure you use the connector that has a red wire, blue wire, and green wire.
If you have no connectors at the back of your E-450 you will need to install part # C56020. This plugs into the existing wiring on your E-450 with no cutting or splicing needed.
You will then need part # ETBC7. This will plug into the 4-way connector and with additional wiring will give you a 7-way connector needed for towing a trailer.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
Since we do not offer any custom fit trailer hitches for your E-450, you can check out the provided link to find a hitch that will work for you. When selecting a weld-on hitch you should always have it installed by a certified professional welder.
I have attached links to some installation videos you can take a look at.
