When you want to tow a small camper, boat, or utility trailer, this Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you the strength and stability to do it. It’s rated for 6,000 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and 600 lbs maximum tongue weight, or up to 10,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 lbs TW when used with weight distribution. The 2" x 2" receiver opening is the standard size for most towing accessories, so you can easily use your favorite ball mount or a cargo carrier when you’re not towing.
The square-tube design and precision robotic welding make this hitch sturdy and reliable under pressure. It’s fully welded from powder coated steel for rust resistance and long-term durability. The gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat doesn’t just look good—it helps resist corrosion when you’re out in rain or road salt.
You don’t need a welder or fancy equipment to get this hitch mounted up. It bolts directly to the frame using the included hardware kit and instructions. The bolt-on installation keeps things straightforward whether you’re setting it up in your driveway or garage. Once it’s torqued down, you’ve got a solid foundation ready for towing or carrying gear.
Even though it’s built for work, the concealed cross tube keeps the visible portion of the hitch tidy and close to the bumper line. That means you get all the function of a strong Class III hitch without a bulky look hanging off the back of your vehicle.

When installing a trailer hitch like part # 13028 it is necessary to use a torque wrench to get the bolts to the right tightness. It is important to tighten bolts to the specified foot lbs in the instructions to avoid failure. Many auto parts stores lend out tools so you will not have to buy one in most cases.

Its still holding strong a year later. I haul a 18ft flatbed with a tractor several times a month and a water trailer a couple times a month as well.

Hello JimWhen you installed this hitch, you mentioned that it was adjustable, was it adjustable by the width? Because Im not seeing where the adjustments are on the picture.
