This fully welded Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver gives you real towing muscle. With a 5,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 500-lb tongue weight, it’s made for towing small trailers, campers, and boats or carrying heavy cargo carriers and bike racks. Hook up a weight distribution setup and the capacity jumps to 7,500 lbs GTW and 750 lbs TW. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with the most common accessories, so you can swap between towing gear and hitch-mounted racks without changing hardware.
The hitch’s gloss black powder coat finish sits over a protective base coat to fight rust and corrosion. Its round-tube design keeps things looking clean under the bumper while providing strength and rigidity. Whether it’s road salt, rain, or dirt roads, the coating holds up so the hitch keeps looking sharp and stays solid over time.
You don’t have to weld or drill anything to get this hitch installed. It bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame using the included hardware kit and standard hand tools like an 18mm or 19mm socket and a torque wrench. The mounting points line up precisely with existing holes for a snug fit that doesn’t rattle or shift once torqued down. It’s straightforward enough for a weekend DIY project in the driveway or garage.
The visible cross tube design keeps ground clearance high while fitting neatly beneath the rear bumper. There’s room for typical underbody components like spare tires to remain usable, so you don’t lose important features of your setup when adding the hitch. It’s a simple upgrade that lets you carry more gear without making trade-offs in day-to-day function.

Product is great but I wish it was designed to be flush with the profile ofthe rear bumper. It tends to be a real shin buster when loading and unloading items in the hatchback.If I ever find one that is flush or recessed I will likely be switching it out.

the hitch and wiring harness is working like it should.I bought a new camper and the hitch and wiring a weight distribution hitch came with the new camper and every thing is doing great .working great
