Helpful Expert Reply:
The Curt # 13245 and Draw-Tite # 75578 are both nice 2 inch receivers compatible with your 2012 Jeep Liberty and they install in the exact same way. I recommend the Curt over the Draw-Tite simply because it is made in the USA.
For your wiring, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118554. The Tekonsha products consistently work better than the Curt wiring harness products. The installation will be simple connections to your factory harness located behind each tail light and then running the included power wire to the battery. I've attached an article on routing that wire to assist.
The wiring will be stowed beneath your vehicle, so I recommend the mounting bracket # 18144 and # 18140 or the Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001.
Finally, I recommend the etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit # 989900. I've attached some videos of these recommended products to assist.
