Expert Reply:
The two trailer hitch receivers for your 2012 Jeep Liberty that you referenced, Curt # 13245 and Draw-Tite # 75578, offer identical performance ratings and features.
Both are Class III-rated 2-inch receivers with a tongue weight capacity (the downward force on the hitch) of 500-lbs and a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 5000-lbs. Both hitch's towing capacities increase equally when used with a weight distribution system and both are round tube designs that bolt on with included hardware, no welding required. Both require the use of a torque wrench for installation.
The installation instructions and sample install videos for each are linked for your reference.
There are no practical differences between the two products, so you can feel comfortable that either, even the lower cost unit, will be a fine choice for your Liberty.
