So far the trans cooler has been working well. I also used the adapters. Both products are doing well after 1500 miles or so and many hills, mountains, and trailering.

Great cooler upgrade for my 1997 GMC Yukon! Little delivery damage, but was so easy to bend those fins back to original shape so no worries!
Nice that you had proper dimension measurements online, so it was easy to figure out what kind I can fit in my truck. Complete kit had everything I needed to get it done!
Modified old cooler bracket little bit and that was it. Works great!

by:

Will make the installation of the trans cooler easier

by:

Have I gotten my refund for trans cooler fittings that weren't needed? 1994 k1500 trans cooler is working great.

by:

Very handy for unique installations fo transmission coolers

by:

It looks like from reading the matierl if one is using the cooler in series with the factory cooler this adapter is not needed.
Thus I would like to return, but I fear the shipping cost will not make sense, dollar wise...

Thus the recommendation should state if you are adding a cooler to your system where one does not already exist, then you'll need this adapter.

So if your adding to an already existing system, you do not need the adapter.

by:

Worked out great for installing the extra trans cooler.

by:

Worked just as needed

by:

Pro help online to order. Trans cooler shipped right away.

by:

These fittings made connecting the hoses to the steel transmission lines very easy - glad I bought them! I recommend getting them.

by:

Great buying experience, will definitely be a go to company for future purchases

by:

I purchased these fittings thinking these would fit my GM product. NOT.......These are 3/8 and looks like the fit the truck series only as stated on the package. Be aware

  • How are the Derale Adapter Fittings # D13018 Installed and Used to Install a Transmission Cooler
The male end of the Derale Radiator Adapter part # D13018 that you referenced does thread into the outlet side of the factory cooler in your radiator. The female side of this adapter would thread onto the male side of the coolant line that you removed from the factory cooler. I realize that's probably hard to visualize so I attached a diagram that shows how both sides of the adapter are used. I also attached an FAQ article on transmission coolers, plus a video of one being installed....

This Derale Series 7000 Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit, part # D13105, measures 16-5/8 inches wide by 12-5/8 inches tall and 3/4 inches thick. You will need to do some measuring in front of the radiator that is in your 2007 GMC Sierra. If you find that you have enough clearance there to install the # D13105 cooler, then it would work well for you. • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 1998 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup with the 5.7L V8 Engine
For the 5.7L V8 engine in your 1998 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup, I recommend taking a look at the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets part # D13504. This transmission cooler features a plate-fin technology which is one of the most efficient types of transmission coolers. The larger surface area (132 c.i.) will do an excellent job of keep the transmission fluid cool while towing your camper. The best place to install this cooler would be in front of the radiator/condensor...

Here are some of the fittings that I have available that are used to connect a transmission cooler to a radiator on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe. You might want to try and measure the fitting size that is on your vehicles radiator. The Derale Insta-Dapt Radiator Adapter, # D13004, is used in the transmission coolers that we sell. For your specific application, I recommend a plate-fin cooler like the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class IV - Efficient, # D13504. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for a 2003 GMC Sierra 4x4 1500
I can tell you that the Derale Transmission Cooler Pan, # D14204, fits most 1982-1999 model 4L60Es transmissions. Some models may require a smaller transmission filter to get it to fit. It will not fit on all models. The overall depth of the pan is 3-5/8 inches and the distance to the the 5/8 inch diameter cooling tubes is 2-1/2 inches from the top of the pan. The exhaust has been determined to be a possible hindrance of installing this pan on models newer than 1999. If there were no components...

I believe you are correct, the Derale Transmission Pan Cooler, # D14204, is designed for GM vehicles with 700R4 and 4L60E transmissions from 1982 to 1999 and we do not list an transmission cooler pan for the 2000 GMC Sierra 1500 with 4L60 M-30 transmission. • How to Determine if Transmission Cooler Will Fit In Front of the Radiator on a 1999 Chevy Silverado
For transmission coolers you have to go by their dimensions compared to the available space where you want to install it. • Can the Derale Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit Be Mounted in Any Direction or Orientation
The inlet and outlet on transmission coolers can be oriented in any direction you like and because the cooler is a flow through device you can use either port as the inlet or outlet, whichever makes the installation easier and uses the least amount of hose. The one thing you want to be sure of, is that the cooler is mounted so that most air flows through it, usually in the same orientation as your radiator. The best installation location is as far forward as possible in front of the radiator,...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2011 Chevy Silverado
You are a little on the warm side for your transmission fluid. If you can keep it under 200 degrees you will have the max life out of it. That being said transmissions really start to go downhill at 260 degrees. The Derale cooler part # D13503 with the install fitting part # D13018 is the most popular option for your 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 and would work well.
