Roadmaster direct-connect base plates will only work with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch, such as the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2. These base plates will not work with tow bars that require a hitch ball.

Did not have to remove tow hooks. Install by [online]. 21 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland.
Aside from the new pedestrian warning bracket, ridiculously great fit. Mine looks like the instructions, not like the picture above, so I got to keep my tow hooks. Instructions have you cut a bunch of the air dams out, I chose to try to do careful trimming, to try to save as much air dams as possible, guess what… I didn’t have to cut them at all. Made it a tad more difficult getting the bolts in, but not that much harder, so I would suggest dry fitting before you start cutting out air dams.
The purchase process through eTrailer was very easy and price was competitive. Installation was as expected. Key issue is to have a very good drill to cut hardened steel.

Fitment was great with no issue on a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland.
Note: if you intend to keep the tow hooks, this kit will leave empty holes. It is possible to keep the tow hooks with modifications as shown in my pictures, but at your own risk.

Everything is working perfectly. Fallowed instructions to the tee and everything went together nicely.
The videos, pictures, instructions and service really helped with ordering and completing the installation. Also appreciate allowing the return of the extra new packaged parts. Looks really nice.
