Question:
I have a class A gas motorhome with a 6000lb roadmaster falcon tow bar set up that I used to pull a Jeep Rubicon which has a curb weight of 4160. I just sold my Jeep Rubicon and bought a 2025 Jeep grand Cherokee Overland that curb weight is 4721lbs can I still use the same tow bar? Theres a difference of 561 more. Im looking at buying the base plate from you and a blue ox portable brake set up. Any input or recommendations would be appreciated. Thank you

Hi John; as long as you aren't exceeding that 6,000 lb capacity it won't be a problem so you can use the Falcon to tow your 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Since the Overland has tow hooks the correct Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit is the # RM77ZR. Since you want to use the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR you will also need the 12 Volt Outlet Kit, 20 amps # RM-9332.
If you need new wiring the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM63MR is the best option assuming your Grand Cherokee is equipped with ParkSense. If you do not have ParkSense you need the # RM-15267 instead.
If you have the adapter cord from your old setup you can use the # RM47ZR for ParkSense or # RM-152 without ParkSense. For the connector you can use the # RM-910030-7 and # RM-910030-5. You will also need to add the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

Hello Robbin I have another question about my project. On the blue OX Patriot brake unit how long is the cord to plug into the 12 volt power port? I have a power port in the rear hatch area that is constant direct to the battery and could use that instead of adding one in the front. Just need to find out if I needed an extension for the cord that comes with the unit? Thanks for the help John Nunes
