What's up everybody. It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Hughes Autoformers generator adapter plug. So what this is gonna do is you're gonna plug this into the floating neutral generator we have here, and we're gonna go to plug in our surge protector. It's gonna detect that it doesn't have a floating neutral anymore. Let check it out.
So what this is gonna do is sometimes when you use one of your smart surge protectors with the lights on there that give you the code. Sometimes you won't allow you to use the power because it says there's an error, which you have a floating neutral or an open ground. It's gonna detect that and think it's not usable power. So what this does is this is gonna plug into the generator here that has the floating neutral and it's gonna create a bond. So then it doesn't have that floating neutral anymore.
Then these codes should say it's all clear and should have power. So let's test it out. We're gonna plug in a surge protector see what codes it's pulling up. You can see right here with the one yellow light means there's an open ground. So it's letting you know, there's an error, thinks there's an error.
We can change that by plugging that adapter in route to unplug the surge protector first. Plug the adapter in. Now replug in the surge protector. And let's see what it says. Looks like we've got two yellow lights.
It's got a good connection, so it's good to go. Overall, I think this adapters is good to have especially if you aren't on soft ground where you can actually ground your generator, these Champions have floated neutral. So you do need to ground them. If you're not on that kind of ground where you can do that, let's say you're tailgating in a parking lot. This will be really good to plug that in, that way at least you have a bonded neutral and you can use your generator. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, and hope this helps..
Worked as stated and what I needed for the Hughes EPO Power Watchdog to work with a generator.
Just used it last night for the first time. We have a Wen 3500 inverter generator and with the floating neutral ground I was not able to get my Watchdog surge protector to work last week. I plugged the Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonded Plug into my generator and everything worked perfectly. I ordered it from Etailers on a Monday and had it in my hand by Thursday. Thank you.
It solved my neutral ground issue when using my HOnda generator with my Airstream trailer
It fixed my issue. I have a new home (modular) and the furnace wouldn’t run off generator. With this plugged in I was able to plug my furnace into my portable generator and it worked. Nice to have an emergency backup!
This product saved me! I had just bought an expensive Honda EU3000is generator and I found that it wasn’t working with my high efficiency furnace. Only the fan would come on without the burner. Come to find out the generator has a floating neutral. I plugged this baby into one of the outlets on the generator, ran a chord out of the other to the furnace and what do you know the bonded signal did the trick! Furnace runs like a champ. Very happy!
The plug arrived in good condition! It was shipped quickly & on time.As usual great service from etrailer, Thanks

Still havent needed to use it as of yet. Confident that it will meet our expectations when needed!
Product is great, works well. The customer service was outstanding! Through no fault of etrailer, or mine, the post office did not deliver the first package. USPS said it was delivered, but it did not show up. When I emailed to discuss the situation,, Mackenzi responded quickly with procedure. I did have to file a police report since USPS said it was delivered, which is understandable, but a second package was shipped quickly. Again, not their fault, but they responded quickly and professionally, which is what impressed me.
The order was fast.At this moment I have not tried the plug. Next week I will let you know. Thanks
Great product!
My newer furnace has grounding protection, with this in place I can run my heat during a winter power outage without issue using my generator. For those with generators have your furnace wired in a way that you can plug It in by wall outlet. One extension cord and we were set.

This product continues to do the trick after a year. Without it my generator would have made a nice addition to the dump since the only reason I got the generator was to power my furnace in the winter. Thanks again for giving my generator a bonded signal!
