Today we're going to review the part, which is the adjuster plug for the 7", 10" and 12" brake assemblies. This is for a quantity of one. This replacement adjuster plug is designed to fit many Dexter and Demco electric and hydraulic trailer brake assemblies. It fits the Dexter 7", 10" and 12" electric and hydraulic brakes and the Demco 10" and 12" hydraulic brakes. The quantity is for one plug. Just to give you an overall dimension on this, the length of it is about 1 and 3/32, and the width of it is about 15/32. What this is designed for, I just want to give you an example here.
I happen to pull a, let's go out a little bit. I pulled a 10" brake assembly, as you can see right here. At the very bottom of your brake assembly there's always a spot for an adjuster plug, you can see that spot right here. This plug is designed to go in there. What that slot is used for is when you adjust your brakes, there's a star wheel on the brake assembly, you'll take the plug out, put your screwdriver in there and adjust that star wheel to adjust your brakes. When you're done adjusting them, you just pop this adjuster plug in to keep any dirt or grime from getting into your brake assembly. That should do it for the review of the adjuster plug for the 7", 10" and 12" brake assemblies.

The plugs I received is made of hard plastic and the back of the plug is not shaped like the plug in the Etrailer picture.I wanted a Rubber Plug.I was hoping to get the plug that was displayed. I ordered 7 Plugs and received 7 different plugs.
Perfect replacement
Bought and installed complete electric brake system from etrailer, (with the help of the etrailer technicians), on my single axle trailer. I bought the following: Dexter Nev-R-Adjust brakes, Hubs, Pro Series Breakaway kit, wire & hardware. Price was half of what local retail wanted. Install was easy and brakes work great.
Videos were a great help in the wiring process.

Still perfect, no issues at all
Simply put - Top drawer. I am not used to being treated this well. Most people these days just don't seem to care about customer service. The etrailer bunch are real pros and it shows. Shery T, Tommy C, Jennifer S , Nikki R , Nicole and others all were there when I needed them and I am grateful. The part I got had a manufacturing defect. They were interested In the problem, sent me a new piece with no hassle and fast. As I said, Top drawer.
Product was exactly what I needed and the price was right. I ordered the bolts to mount it at same time so I didn't have the issues others mentioned. The only issue I had was the new drum took a different sized seal, so I had to measure the hub and work with the local parts store to try to find a seal that fit. Eventually found one, assembled, bled the brakes out and was good to go. I would by from eTrailer.com again without a worry.
Brought RV without these caps, while doing maintenance I noticed a built up of rust around the entire brake system. Cleaned up the brake system, found these caps on etrailer. Following year, doing my annual maintenance, not as much rust was present.
All the parts I have purchased from etrailer have been of the most top quality and match to a tee....the one purchase was tail lights for my RV they were so clearin fact they looked better then the factory lights!!!
This is a rubber / plastic plug that simply fits either by pressing in with your thumb or tapping in with a hammer. It prevents water from accessing the interior area of the brakes thru the adjusting holes on the back plate. Each unit installed will require 2ea. of these. I installed them prior to bolting onto the axle flange for ease of access and preadjusted the shoes fit prior to final axle/ bearing bolt up. Note, as noted by Etrailer, these must be ordered extra, they do not come with the brake unit.I recommend that one should replace the old ones as they are probably rubber and will eventually fall out.
Have been happy with everything I have ordered so far. The electric brakes were awesome and easy to install. Just received my last shipment and have not opened the box. Have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Dave
These tiny covers plug the slot for the drum brake adjuster. My trailer has not seen much service, but these are in fine shape 1 year later.
We thought these were rubber plugs, not the hard plastic, cheap ones.

I went and had a look at the plug in the warehouse. The plug look had changed and I have had the pictures updated on our site. They are made of a hard plastic.
