Video Transcript for Review of Firestone Lift Spacers For Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - F2370

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com and today we're gonna take a brief look at these lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs. These spacers are going to allow air springs to be installed on vehicles with four inches of lift, and the distance between the upper and lower brackets must be between 9 1/2 inches and 10 1/2 inches. And the spacer must be the same size as the lift kit rise. Now these spacers attach between the bottom of the lower bracket and the bottom of the spring on vehicles, again, with a four inch lift. And I do want to point out that these will fit Ride-Rite models F2286 if manufactured after February 1st of 2006. However, these will not fit Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286.

So this includes everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to get the two lift spacers, all the necessary hardware for installation and a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.

Thank you for joining me.

  • Correct Lift Kit Spacer Needed for Firestone Ride-Rite on a 2003 Ford F-250 with 6" Lift
Sometimes choosing a spacer can be a little confusing (since some lift kits aren't "true" lift kits) but I'm here to help you out. To determine the correct lift kit for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2550 you just need to use the formula Firestone put together. Simply measure the distance between where the brackets would be on your 2002 Ford F-250 and choose from the following: 6-1/2" - 7-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2536 7-1/2" - 8-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2366 8-1/2" - 9-1/2" -...

  • Correct Lift Spacer for Ride Rite Kit F2299 with 6 Inch BDS Lift
The correct size lift spacer you will need for your Firestone Ride Rite airbags depends on how much the BDS Lift Kit will lift the rear of the vehicle. If the kit lifts the rear of your truck by 3 inches, then you would want a 3 inch spacer, # F2367. I'm not sure if I found the same kit you are purchasing or not, but in my research I found some BDS 6 inch kits that use a 4 inch lift for the rear. If the kit lifts the rear of the truck by 4 inches, then you would want a 4 inch spacer, # F2370.

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. The leaf mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted...

  • Air Bag Helper Spring Lift Spacers For Firestone Ride-Rite Springs On a Lifted 2002 Ford F-250
Yes, for installing the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2550 on your 6" lifted 2002 Ford F-250 you will only need a lift spacer. You will need to verify the amount of rear lift on your truck as often a 6" lift will have a front 6" lift and rear 4" to level the truck. Firestone offers their lift spacers in the following sizes. 1-1/4" Spacers # F2536 2" Spacers # F2366 3" Spacers # F2367 4" Spacers # F2370 5" Spacers # F2373 6" Spacers # F2374 I recommend using the Air Lift WirelessAIR...

  • Determining The Correct Spacers For Firestone Ride-Rite Springs On A 2018 Ford F-250 With 4" Lift
Adding in lift spacers is totally normal when a vehicle has a suspension lift so you'll just need to determine which spacer is going to be the best to fill in the gap left by the lift. A 4" lift doesn't always mean that you'll have a 4" gap so you'll need to first install the upper and lower brackets and then measure the distance between them. You can then look at the chart (pictured below) and pick the correct spacer kit for the gap. 1-1/4" # F2536 2" # F2366 3" # F2367 4" # F2370...

The correct spacer to use with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2355 on your 2007 Nissan Titan will be the one that matches the actual lift that the kit you installed provided. If you have an actual 6" lift in the rear then the correct spacer for you is the Lift Spacer for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2374. However, lift kit manufacturers often overstate the actual lift so more than likely you will be looking at either part # F2370 or part # F2373. I...

  • 4" Lift Spacers For Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bag Helper Springs On a 2008 Chevy Silverado 2500HD
The 4" Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2370 are designed to work with all Firestone air bag kits except the # F2350 (2004 - 2008 Ford F-150, 2006 - 2008 Lincoln Mark LT) and # F2286 (2002 - 2008 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500). So you will have no issue with these on your 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2250 and 9-1/2" to 10-1/2" between your mounting brackets.

  • Spacer for Firestone Ride Rite Air Suspension Kit Installed on 2013 Toyota Tundra w/4 Inch Lift
According to my Firestone representative, you'll need to measure the existing space between the upper and lower brackets once the lift has been completed. Ideally, you'd see about 6 inches between the two brackets. If that's the case, Firestone tells me a spacer won't be needed. If the distance between the brackets is greater than 6 inches, you'll need a spacer whose thickness is the same as the gap. For instance, if the distance between the brackets measures about 8 inches, you'd want...

  • How to Determine Air Bag Spacer Needed to Install Firestone Ride-RiteAIr Bags for 3 Lift
Air bag installation in a lifted truck can require lift spacers to bring the air bag's upper and lower brackets to the appropriate spacing for proper operation. Sometimes this means that a "3-inch lift" will need a spacer kit but this may not actually be a 3-inch spacer; the key is to measure the placement of the brackets in your application. For the Firestone rear-axle air bag kit # F2430 (that fits your 1500, both 2WD and 4WD) you'll want to check the installed locations of the upper...

  • Will the Firestone Ride Rite Air Helper Springs Work W/ a Lifted 2017 Ford F-250
Yes the springs will work, but you're likely going to need to add a spacer. Just because you have a 3.5" lift does not necessarily mean you'll need a 3" spacer, so you're going to need to install the upper and lower mounting brackets and measure the distance between them. For a 1 1 /4" spacer you'll want # F2536, for a 2" spacer you'll want # F2366, for a 3" spacer you'll want # F2367, and for a 4" spacer you'll want # F2370. • Picking Out Spacer Kit for Firestone Air Bag Kit that Fits 2013 GMC Sierra 1500
Since not all 6 inch lift kits are the same what you'll need to do first is install the Firestone kit part # F2430 and then measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of the kit. Distance between top and bottom bracket: 6-1/2" - 7-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2536 7-1/2" - 8-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2366 8-1/2" - 9-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2367 9-1/2" - 10-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2370 11-1/2" - 12-1/2" - Lift Spacer # F2374 Typically 6 inch lifts require the # F2370 so I'd almost guarantee...

  • Can Firestone Air Bags be Installed on a 2001 Ford Excursion that Does Not have Jounce Bumpers
To install Firestone Ride-Rite air bags # F2251 on a 2001 Ford Excursion 4x4 the jounce bumpers would have to be removed and are not reinstalled. So not having the jounce bumpers actually saves you a step for the installation. I also recommend using a compressor kit, # F2158, so you can add or remove air from the air bags from inside the vehicle. The kit is not required but makes load leveling a lot easier. The air bags in the kit have a maximum diameter of 7.52 inches at the widest point, compressed height of 3 inches, and extended height of 8.91 inches. However if your truck is lifted a spacer may be required to make up for the additional height. • Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bags on a 2003 Ford Excursion with 4 Inch Lift
The 2 Firestone spacer kits that you mentioned, # F2371 and # F2370, each fit different types of Firestone Ride-Rite kits. First, style # F2371 fits on Ride-Rite models that mount to the vehicle axle. The other one, # F2370, fits on models that mount to the leaf spring stack. The kit that you have, # F2251, is an axle mounted kit so you would need spacers # F2371. The spacer kit used needs to be same as the amount of lift on the vehicle. So if the ride height increased by 4 inches you...
