Video Transcript for Comprehensive Review: Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs on vehicles with a 3" lift. Now these parts here will let you install your Ride-Rite Air Springs on a lifted vehicle using these lift spacers. Basically, these spacers will attach between the bottom of your lower bracket and the bottom of the spring on vehicles with a 3" lift. Now, Firestone does offer these spacers and a rise anywheres from two inches all the way up to six inches. This part here is for a 3" lift, and just to show you, put a ruler on that.

There you can see is your 3" measurement. How to install these, the distance on your vehicle between the upper and lower brackets must be between eight and a half and nine and a half inches. The spacer must be the same size as your lift kit rise, and this lift spacer needs to match the amount of lift added to the rear of your vehicle. This part will include these two lift spacers and all the hardware you can see here that's necessary for installation. The lift spacer fits the axle mounted air springs.

Now these spacers can be used with most Ride-Rite air spring kits. This part here will not fit Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286 but they will fit Ride-Rite model F2286 if it's manufactured after February 1st, 2006. But that should do it for the review on these lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs on vehicles with a 3" lift.

  • Best Airbags for a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with 6 Inch Lift
For your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2250. These airbags will do an excellent job of helping to distribute the weight of the trailer across the vehicle in addition to helping with stability and off center loads. Now in order to compensate for the 6" lift on your vehicle, you will need to add a spacer. The correct spacer for you will depend on the distance you have between the upper and lower brackets once installed....

  • How to Use Air Lift LoadLifter Air Bags on a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 with 6 Inch Lift
Yes, the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538 will work on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. However, you don't need to use the 7500 XL system nor would I advise it. Instead, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338. The 7,500 lb and 5,000 lb weight capacity you see is for pin/tongue weight, not gross trailer weight as the the pin/tongue weight is the only part that is directly over the top of the airbags. They will however both do an...

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. The leaf mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted...

  • Air Bag Suspension Enhancement for 2015 Ford F-250 with 3 inch Leveling Kit
Hey Scott, we have the Firestone Ride Rite kit part # F2597 that is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ford F-250 4WD and would work great for additional suspension support. Since you have a 3 inch lift though you'd also need the spacer kit part # F2368 which will take up the extra space created so that the springs still engage like they need to. Are you wanting a compressor kit as well?

Hello Jacob, thanks for reaching out. We do offer air bags that will work on your 2022 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road with a 3" lift. For that I recommend the Firestone Ride Rite air bags. There are two kits for your truck. The # F2407 is for trucks with the axle located below the leaf spring pack. The # F2410 is for trucks with the axle located above the leaf spring pack, so please check and confirm which one you need. You will also need to use a spacer to compensate for the lift. What you...

  • Looking For Air Bag Kit And Compressor Fir 1997 Ford F-350 With 4" Lift
Hello Adrian, thanks for reaching out. For starters, it is possible to add Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags to your 1997 F350 Crew Cab Long Bed Diesel 4x4 SRW with the 4" lift. The correct kit is part # F2071. You will need to use a spacer kit along with the air bags to compensate for the lift. A 4" suspension lift does not always directly equate to a 4" spacer though. In some cases a 4" lift would require a 2" spacer # F2366 or 3" spacer # F2368 but configurations can be different. A lot...

  • How to Determine the Correct Lift Spacer Needed for Installing Ride-Rite Airbags on a Lifted Truck
Since you have a 6" lift on your 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 you will need a lift spacer in order for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2430 to work. The correct way to measure for a lift spacer is when the truck is on the ground without any added weight in the bed. You will want to measure from the bottom of the top bracket to the top of the bottom bracket where the airbags attach. You can choose the right spacer using the measurements attached below. • How to Determine Correct Spacers For Firestone Air Bags on 2016 Chevy Silverado w/ 3-1/2 Inch Lift
There are likely going to be some spacers that will work for you, though to find the correct ones you'll actually need to do some measuring during the install on your 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 of the Firestone Ride-Rite Red Label Extreme Duty Air Helper Springs # F2709. The reason for that is a 3-1/2 inch suspension lift does not necessarily mean your truck was lifted 3-1/2 inches. Additionally, I took a look at the instructions for a Rough Country 3-1/2 inch leveling kit and it said it...

  • Installation of Firestone 2605 on 2017 Ford F-250 with 3 Inch Lift Block at Axle Under Springs
Thanks for the photo. Based on your specific setup you won't need a spacer like the # F2368 because the bracket sits at the lip above the lift block. You will however need to get hardware long enough to span that extra lift block distance. Check out the 10 minute to 17 minute section of the attached video to assist with that bracket and see that hardware at the 13 minute mark. You will need to obtain that hardware locally.

  • Available Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Bag Kit F2550
If you do not know the height added by your truck's lift kit you can measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets (without the air bag) to determine which spacer you need to fill the gap. For a 2-inch spacer use # F2366; for a 3-inch use # F2368; for a 4-inch spacer use # F2370; for a 5-inch spacer use # F2373; for a 6-inch use # F2374. If your current lift block is tapered (from 3-1/2 to 4-inches tall) you'll probably be best off using the 4-inch spacer block # F2370.
