Video Transcript for All About the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a brief look at these Lift Spacers for your Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs. These spacers are going to allow your leaf-mounted air springs to be installed on vehicles with a six inch lift, and from 11 and a half inches to 12 and a half inches between your upper and lower brackets. And the spacer kit must be the same size as the lift kit rise. Now, these spacers attach between the bottom of the lower bracket, and the bottom of the spring on vehicles with the six inch lift.

And this is going to fit Ride-Rite model F2286, if manufactured after February 1st, 2006. However, these will not fit Ride-Rite models F2350 or F2286, so just so you're aware of that. This does include everything that you see here on the table before me. You're going to receive these two lift spacers, and then all of the necessary hardware and instructions to walk you through the installation process. Well, that's gonna conclude our brief look today.

I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.

I appreciate you reaching out. The air bags worked great. I sold the truck a month later but now I have another truck I may be looking to do the same to

Tall spacer do not allow for correct geometry on 2008 Silverado. I went with the 4" spacer on my 6" lift and it works great!

  • Will Firestone F2582 Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs Change Ride Height of 2019 Ford F-150
At the 5psi minimum recommended by Firestone, installing their # F2582 Ride-Rite kit will not change your existing ride height, as long as your suspension isn't worn and is in good working order. If the suspension is worn, it could slightly raise the ride height. Also, you might need a lift spacer depending on how much lift has been added. If the lift is less than 1-1/2 inches, you won't need a lift spacer, according to Firestone. If the lift is greater than 1-1/2 inches, you will need...

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. The leaf mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted...

  • How to Use Air Lift LoadLifter Air Bags on a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 with 6 Inch Lift
Yes, the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538 will work on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500. However, you don't need to use the 7500 XL system nor would I advise it. Instead, I recommend the Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Air Helper Springs part # AL57338. The 7,500 lb and 5,000 lb weight capacity you see is for pin/tongue weight, not gross trailer weight as the the pin/tongue weight is the only part that is directly over the top of the airbags. They will however both do an...

  • Firestone Air Bag Kit and Compressor Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-250 with 6 inch Lift
Firestone has 6 inch spacer kit for use with their kits as part # F2374. But you have to determine first if your lift is all suspension or if it's a body lift and suspension lift combination which is most common on lifts of your size. Basically the spacer you'll need is the amount the suspension height changed. So let's say your lift was a 4 inch suspension lift with a 2 inch body lift. Then you'd need the 4 inch spacer part # F2370. I also attached a link to a page that has all of the...

To determine if lift spacers are needed to install the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2558 on your 2018 Nissan Frontier SV 4x4, you'll need to measure the distance between the top and bottom mounting brackets (see photo). Make sure your truck has all four wheels on ground or is up on jack stands and there is no load on the bed. You will then select the right spacer using the following measurements: 6.5" - 7.5" distance between brackets - use 1.25" lift spacer # F2536 7.5" -...

The Firestone air bag kits that fit the 2017 Ford F-250 4x4 will also fit the 2019 model year: Standard - # F35FV Red-Label - # F95FV Since you have a lift on your truck it sounds like you need a lift spacer to make the system fit. • Can Firestone Ride Rite Kit Install on Truck with 6 inch Lift
Yes, Firesone makes lift spacers like the part # F2374 which allows their air bag kits like the part # F2582 to fit on vehicles with lifts. The spacer # F2374 is a 6 inch spacer which would be what you need if your lift raised the suspension of your truck 6 inches. A lot of times a 6 inch lift really lifts about 5 inches so if that's the case for you you'd instead want the part # F2373 for a 5 inch spacer kit.

  • Recommended Air Helper Spring and Spacer for 2006 Chevy Silverado with 6 Inch Lift
Rather than the AirLift # AL88275, I'd recommend using the Firestone # F2190. A vehicle with a 6 inch lift would use the # F2374 spacer. AirLift simply uses a band clamp to attach the air spring to the upper and lower mount plates. Firestone uses a much more strong roll crimp arrangement which is much more sturdy and less likely to leak. You might also find having an on-board compressor system like part # F2219 convenient to have. A compressor system would allow you to make adjustments...
