Will Firestone Air Bag Suspension Upgrade Work On 2025 Silverado 2500 With 4 Inch Lift Kit?

Updated 12/15/2025 | Published 12/09/2025

Question:

I’ve got a 2025 Silverado 2500 with a 4-inch lift in the rear. Can I still run the Firestone airbags with the wireless compressor?

Hey Tyler, yes, as long as your factory jounce bumper and bracket are still in the original location, the Firestone air bag kit # F64XV can absolutely fit your lifted Silverado. You’ll just need the right Firestone spacer to restore air-spring height.

For a 4-inch rear lift, that’s usually going to be the Firestone 4 inch spacer # F2370. That said, the best way to know for sure is by installing the air lift setup, THEN measure the distance between the upper and lower air bag brackets. If it is 9.5" - 10.5" then you'll indeed need the 4" spacer. Not all 4" lift kits are truly 4" if that makes sense.

Firestone’s instructions note not to install the kit if the truck was lifted and the stock jounce bumper spacers are missing - so as long as yours are still there, you're golden.

If you want to send a quick pic of the bump stop area, I can confirm it for you.

Thanks Andrew. My lift kept the factory bump stop. When I measure between the brackets during mock-up, where exactly should I be measuring from?

@Tyler You’ll measure from the bottom of the upper air-spring bracket down to the top surface of the lower bracket that the air spring sits on. Once the brackets are loosely installed during mock-up, take that measurement with the truck sitting under its own weight. If that distance is 9.5" to 10.5", that’s the range where the 4" Firestone spacer # F2370 is the correct match. If you get something else, just let me know!
