Hi, everyone. Steve here with etrailer. Let's take a look at our Firestone standard air spring. It's a double-convoluted 3/8-inch national pipe thread. So folks, this is designed for heavy-duty, custom applications, and it's a standard double-convoluted air helper spring. And obviously this is going to be a replacement part.
So most likely you're ordering this because one of yours got damaged, maybe in an accident, maybe it got clipped on something and cut, or who knows what. But it does operate at a max of 100 psi. It does have four layers of reinforcement construction built into it. It uses a braided wire girdle hoop, and that's going to create that convoluted shape that you're seeing. And that's going to increase the burst pressure of the spring itself.
Now, as I said, this uses a machine-welded 3/8-inch NPT air intake hole, and that's going to keep everything in place. So once you get everything installed, that's where your air line will come into. Then you got the two threaded, weld-on thread rod there. And I put that picture on the screen with the dimensions so you can double-check everything and be sure it matches up with what you're looking for. That's going to wrap up our look together.
