Video Transcript for Hands-On with the Lift Spacers for Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs

Today we're going to take a look at six-inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs. Now, this kit will allow your air springs to be installed on vehicles that a a six-inch lift and the distance between the upper and lower brackets must be between 11-1/2 and 12-1/2 inches for these springs to fit. The spacers must be the same size as your lift kit rise. This part will include everything laid out here on the table, the two lift spacers, the hardware to install it and a nice set of detailed instructions for the installation. And the lift spacers are designed to fit axle-mounted air springs. Basically the spacer right here, is what we'll install between the air spring and the lower bracket. The bottom of the spacer is what installs to the lower bracket and then the air spring will attach to the top of the spacer here.Again, the specs for this, it's for vehicles with a six-inch lift and from 11-1/2 to 12-1/2 inches between the upper and lower brackets.

Now this will not fit the Ride-Rite models F-2350 or F-2286 but it will fit a version of the F-2286 if it's manufactured after February 01, 2006. But that should do it for the review of the six-inch lift spacers for the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs.

  • Lift Kit Needed For A Big Tex 14GX Tandem Axle Gooseneck Trailer
Hey Michael, Since the 14GX has drop axles to lower the deck height for easier loading/unloading you could either replace the axles with standard spindle axles or go with a lift kit depending on whichever is the more cost effective route for you. Big Tex lists that the 14GX has two 7k axles so the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-385-00 should be the right fit, but you'll want to measure the axle tube to confirm. You'll need one kit per axle and will need to have...

  • How To Tell What Size Firestone Lift Spacers Are Needed On A Truck With A 6 Inch Lift Kit
To determine what size lift spacer to use on your vehicle with Firestone Ride-Rite Air Springs, measure the distance between the upper and lower brackets of your air helper spring kit, and whether the kit mounts on the leaf spring or the axle. The spacer needs to be the same length as the amount of lift applied to the axle on which the air helper spring is installed. The axle mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted to the axle. The leaf mount kit would have the lower bracket mounted...

  • How Does a Lift Kit Affect Towing?
A body lift does not affect towing since it's only the body of your vehicle that's being raised; the stock suspension and wheels remain at their original height. With that being said, from what I was able to research online, your 6 inch Pro Comp Lift Kit may actually be a suspension lift. As far as the actual towing weight capacity is concerned, I am not able to tell you if and how much your 6 inch lift would affect it. I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer (Pro Comp) since they...

  • Air Ride Suspension System for 2011 Toyota Tundra with a 6 inch Lift
As long as you don't have a 5th wheel or gooseneck hitch installed, then we have a Firestone Ride-Rite kit that will work for you. I recommend installing the Ride-Rite Kit, # F2445, because you can use the Ride-Rite Lift Spacers for a 6 inch Lift, # F2375. These two parts will accommodate the 6 inch lift on your truck. The Ride-Ride kit will not fit if you have a 5th wheel hitch or gooseneck hitch installed in the bed. I'm not sure what type of lift you have, but if your truck is still...

  • Recommended Air Bag Kit for a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 w/ Magna Ride and a 6 Inch Lift
There is an air bag kit that will work with your truck but since you have Magna Ride the Air Lift item # AL89204 will not. None of the Air Lift kits are compatible, so I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F2430. These air springs have a comparable 4,800 lbs load leveling capacity. To compensate for your 6" lift you will need a spacer and to find out which one you will have to take a measurement. You'll want to make sure that your Sierra is level with all the wheels...

For your 6 inch lifted 2014 Chevy 1500 4x4, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle # F2430. This air spring set will come with manual inflation valves, but if you want to have access at any time to adjust the psi of your bed to level the load, I recommend the Firestone Air Command I - Analog Gauge w/ Standard-Duty Compressor - Single Function - 130 psi # F2158. This will give you a gauge as well as a toggle switch to add or release air from...

  • Air Bag Helper Springs for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 6 Inch Lift
Does your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 have a 6 inch lift or is it the 6 foot bed? I ask because Air Lift kit # AL88204 only fits short bed models so if your truck has the 8 foot bed you would need to look at other options. Lift kits are interesting because you could have a 6 inch lift kit but the actual increase in height between the frame and axle might be less than 6 inches. This is important when picking out kits and available spacers. Air Lift's tallest spacer is 4 inches, # AL52440....

For a 6-inch lift you will need the Firestone Lift Spacer, part # F2375. You will need to check and see the actual lift you got from your lift kit. Since there are no 6 inch spacers to use with the Timbren springs # TUR350 using them on a truck with a 6 inch lift like your 2010 Ford F-350 would render the springs useless. There are other options though. You could use Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2550 if your custom 5th wheel brackets have the hole in the center of them (above the centerline of the factory bump stops). Otherwise that hole will have to be drilled which is generally not an accepted practice because it voids...

  • Suspension Enhancement and Gooseneck Hitch Recommendation for a 2014 Ford F150 Black Ops
The Black Ops 2014 Ford F-150 has a 6 inch suspension lift on it . So the setup I can recommend is the part # F2542 for a air bag kit. This kit can only be used with the B and W hitch part # BWGNRK1104 so that would be the hitch I would recommend. Since you have a 6 inch lift you would then need the 6 inch lift spacers # F2375.
