If you’ve ever worried about the front cap of your trailer getting too close to the cab on a tight turn, this hitch solves that automatically. The internal rack-and-pinion system moves the head up to 14" toward the tailgate whenever you turn, then slides it back into position as you straighten out. The single-piece wraparound jaw closes completely around the king pin for full 360-degree contact. That tight fit keeps chucking and rattle to a minimum so your ride feels stable and quiet. A 3/4" thick solid steel locking bar adds another layer of security by reinforcing the jaw once it’s closed. When it locks, it stays locked—no extra steps needed before you hit the road.
Road shock can wear on both your rig and your nerves, but the double-pivot head design helps smooth it out. It pivots front-to-back and side-to-side to match the trailer’s movement, while three built-in polyurethane dampeners absorb noise and vibration. The result is a quieter tow that feels more controlled when you encounter uneven pavement or steep driveways.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the puck mount system built into the base. Just drop it into the four receiver pucks, twist the handles to lock in place, and secure them with the included safety pins. When you want full bed access, unlock the feet and lift it out—the head can be removed separately to make handling easier. Three height settings (18", 19-1/2") let you fine-tune your setup for proper bed rail clearance and level towing.
This fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not compatible with Sidewinder or Revolution king pins. Do not use any device that changes the pivot point of your trailer's king pin with this hitch.

Thanks for sharing your honest feelings about this hitch, really. I do have to agree that it is a VERY heavy unit so isn't really something that can be easily put in and out. Hopefully you will still enjoy your summer and be able to hit the road with your camper lots!

Still working good. The adapter kit for the Lippert Rhino box is the only issue I have had. The adapter plates do not stay square with the pin box. So, the connection with the DEmco hitch is not really straight.

Doesnt into factory holes. Have to loosen bolts to fit into puck system them tighten them back.

Great! This unit is Big, Heavy, and does the job the way it is supposed to. A smaller unit has too much slop and noisy, not this one. You want Heavy Duty without any concerns? This is the mamma jamma you want to get!
