Will Fixed Curt 5th Wheel Hitch Have Proper Clearance In 2024 GMC 2500 Short Bed

Hi! Are we ok with a curt 16029 and curt 16520 for a 2024 GMC 2500 6.75 feet box to pull a Jayco HT 26REC for driving and turning tight corner. Thank You

To determine if you have enough clearance to use the # C74FR with your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 short bed you can use the following formula:
(A + B) - C = Clearance
A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab
B = Length of pin box past trailer nose
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)
If you use this calculation and do not have at least 4" of clearance then you will need to use a sliding 5th wheel hitch like the # DM29GV or a rotating pin box like # RP77FR to have enough to safely turn at slow speeds. If you use a rotating pin box you will also need a wedge. If it is anything but the 68220 Sidewinder you can use the # C16992 and if it is a 68220 2nd Gen Sidewinder you need the # C27NR.
