I have used the Demco 21K autoslide hitch for over 2 years now with 10,000 miles towed and it works great. I have a 2024 GMC Sierra 6-3/4 bed with the puck system. One modification I made to aid in installing and removing the hitch was to use an electric hoist mounted in my garage ceiling, but to better balance the hitch while using the lifting pin, I attached two eyes to the top of the rear support screws and use a chain from each eye to the lifting pin. Then you have to find the center point, which for mine was close to the lifting pin end but a few inches towards the rear of the hitch. Dropping the hitch level greatly improved the ease of getting all four pucks to seat together. One additional modification if you have a MORryde pin box is to add the special plate to the pin box.. Without this plate, backing was challenging as both the hitch and MORRyde system would adjust resulting in having to turn the steering wheel significantly to get the rear of the trailer to turn, but once it started to turn it would move quicker than you want. Once installed the turning is back to normal. One revolution of the steering wheel will easily allow backing into or out of a camping spot.
