Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed Puck System

I need a sliding 5th wheel hitch to fit the factory puck system on my 2024 Sierra 2500. I've read that I can use a fixed hitch and still have good clearance but I'd rather have the sliding feature and not have to think about it at all.

You can use a fixed hitch with the short bed on your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 puck system, but I definitely understand where you're coming from.
For a "set it and forget it" type of 5th wheel hitch I recommend the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM29GV. I really like this system because it installs directly into the puck system, has one of the best jaw and cushioning systems on the market, and uses an autosliding feature so you don't even have to step out of your truck to lock and unlock the hitch on tight turns.
