Question:
Our 2025 Telluride SX has LED taillights and a hitch, but no trailer wiring. What do I need to install a Curt Echo In-Line? We'll be towing a camper, but I'd also like a 4-pin connection for the utility trailer we borrow.

Hey Lauren! For your Telluride with LED taillights, you'll need to start by adding the Curt 4-Way Wiring Harness # C29ZV. From there, use the etrailer Installation Kit # e556GR to add a 7-way with the USCAR connector required to install the Curt Echo In-Line # C79DR.
The kit comes with the wiring, breakers, and hardware for installation. It also has both a 4-way and a 7-way outlet, so you'll be able to connect your camper or utility trailer without needing an adapter.
What camper will you be towing?

Lauren, Bought this system a few years ago. You won't regret getting this bluetooth brake controller device. I've installed old-school units and it is a pain compared to this type of unit - well worth the extra $ for ease of installation. And in my experience with both types, the brake force is much smoother. The fact that you control it with your phone is remarkable (and handy!), where you can make various settings on-the-go. I pull a 8000 lb Airstream with a Range Rover (diesel, thank the lord!), and it is seamless and safe. Good luck!

My ‘26 Nissan Armada has the tow package and thus the necessary wiring, but oddly not a factory trailer brake controller. I installed the Echo without much difficulty. The system paired easily and works well, but I get a “wiring problem” error message every time I open the app. Despite assurances from Curt that the problem would be corrected in a future software update, so far the message persists. Does not appear to affect performance.
