Question:
Does this have timken bearings and races? Part 8-201-9UC3-EZ

Expert Reply:
Hey Alex! The Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-201-9UC3-EZ comes with Dexter bearings and races. None of the replacement hubs we carry come with Timken bearings, races, and seals.
If you would prefer Timken you can replace them with the Timken Bearing Kit # TMK82VR. If you're going to go that route, it would probably be better to pick up the # 8-201-5UC3-EZ since it isn't pre-greased and will make the job easier.
What kind of trailer are you working on?

Dear Alex, I wanted to follow up and share that I have been using the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly from etrailer for years and have never had any problems. I make sure to repack the bearings regularly and ensure that I do not overload the grease in the hub. In my experience, the quality of the bearings Dexter uses is as good as Timken Bearings. I hope this information was helpful to you.
