Hey Colt,

Thanks for your question. For a Class III trailer hitch on your 2026 Honda CR-V, I'd recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13397. It provides a 2-inch receiver with a 3,500-lb gross trailer weight rating and a 525-lb tongue weight rating. Keep in mind that while the hitch is rated for those capacities, you should always stay within Honda's towing limits for your specific CR-V, as the vehicle's maximum towing capacity may be lower than the hitch's rating. I've also included an installation video showing the #C13397 being installed on a 2026 Honda CR-V.

For trailer wiring, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56370 is a confirmed fit for both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models. This is a plug-and-play harness that provides a 4-way flat connector, making it perfect for towing small utility trailers, boat trailers, and other light-duty trailers. One thing to note is that your CR-V requires an additional fuse to activate the factory tow circuit, and that fuse is not included with the wiring harness. Your owner's manual will identify the correct fuse location and required fuse size.

If you'd like to mount the 4-way connector to the hitch, you'll also need the No-Drill Mounting Bracket #C83DR along with the 4-Way Flat Mounting Bracket #C42CR.

If you don't plan to tow very often, another simple option is to leave the connector stored inside the rear cargo area and pull it out through the hatch only when you need it.

Out of curiosity, what are you planning to tow with your CR-V?

I have purchased and installed a number of hitches from E trailer. Everyone has said perfectly and there’s always a video showing the installation process so you can tell how complicated it’s going to be before you buy. When I need a hitch, I don’t even check anywhere else

@CharlesS Really appreciate that! That's exactly what we hope for. Glad the hitches have worked well and that the install videos have made the job a little simpler. Thanks for sticking with us over the years—it means a lot that we're your first stop when you need a hitch.
