Does Dometic FreshJet 3 part # DMC69ZR Require Additional Control Board

Hey Larry, the Dometic FreshJet 3 part # DMC69ZR that you referenced does not require an additional control board to work. Basically you just need to run the power wires to it and it' ready to go as the controls are internal and on bottom of the unit.

I am replacing the Dometic ACs on my class A and I already have the thermostat on the wall with on/off switch. Can I use this thermostat with the new AC and are there instructions on how to do this? Thanks.

@LarryT Yes, I was able to confirm that it will wire up to existing Dometic thermostats and work great. There are wiring diagrams in the install instructions is comes with.

I attempted to replace my old dometic with the new freshjet 3 only to find out that my old unit has a 9 pin connector and the freshjet 3 has a six pin connector. I thought the freshjet 3 was backward compatable with older dometic ACs? Is there a solution? Does dometic make an adapter? Thanks for your help. I am attempting to replace both of my ACs.

@LarryT The part # ACCOLKIT is a 9 pin to 6 pin adapter like you need.

Jameson I have installed my dometic freshjet AC. My current thermostat also controls my furnace. I want to replace the old thermostat with a new digital thermostat but it needs to also control the furnace. Which thermostat do I need to to get this done. Thanks for all of your help. Everything you have told me is exactly the way I have found it and it made it easy to replace my ACs. Thanks you so much. Larry T

@LarryT You could use the part # DMC95ZR for a digital thermostat. This has a cool and hot setting you can use for your furnace.

I had a Freshjet 3 installed last month. Within a week it had ice. Repair guy came out and replaced a part. It just happened again and he said my control panel and outer thermostat needed replaced. He is going to charge me $600. I thought the control panel is internal on this AC?? Shouldn't I be able to get a new AC since this one is under warranty? But he said that the control panel is my old control panel...I don't understand.
