Question:
Concerning etrailer Windshield Cover for Snow - 70 Wide x 39 Tall. I have a 2020 F-150 that I will be towing to and through Alaska. It was suggested I need a windshield protector. Will this product work in that regard i.e. on a vehicle being towed

Hey Randall, thanks for reaching out. The etrailer Windshield Cover # 288-06603 really should only be used on a stationary vehicle. If you put it on a towed vehicle, the chances of it tearing or flying off would be high. If it gets caught up in the wind, I would not trust it to stay on. Don't get me wrong, its a solid cover. I own two of them and I put them on our cars here in Missouri every time we get snow and it's a huge convenience when I go to clean the snow off, it just isn't meant for a moving vehicle.
While we don't have a windshield cover for a toad vehicle, we do have other ways of protecting the vehicle. For this, I recommend taking a look at Sentry Deflector part # DM9523135 if you have a Demco Tow Bar, the Guardian Rock Guard part # RM-4000 if you have a Roadmaster Tow Bar, or the Blue Ox KarGard Towed Vehicle Protector part # BX8870 if you have a Blue Ox Tow Bar.
All of these options are going to do an excellent job of protecting your toad from any damage or road debris while in tow.
Are you needing any other flat tow gear for your F-150?

Randall, I love thw E-trailer windshield cover on my Ram! Though I live in the Deep South (VA), there several instances this winter that I was grateful not to have to work icy mornings cleaning my windshield. Saved me many cleanings from frosty mornings as well. I was so impressed that I purchased another for my grandson who lives in Newport, RI.

Bought this for my 2025 mazda cx30 gx. It is extremely easy to use, fits perfectly and covers beyond the wiper blades which was my main concern. Nice durable material. I would most certainly purchase again in the future, if needed. Also I would like to add the customer service was outstanding!!!!

This is just a windshield cover for stationary vehicles, we had a windy day here in TN, it folded over half way up the windshield, I would not think this would protect against rocks or be secure enough for hiway travel on a towed vehicle.

I have used a moving blanket closed in the doors with a cord in the middle going under the hood to a tie off spot.
