Question:
Watched the install video for BLU86HR. Only question I presently have, before starting, is do I put the shutter assembly back on. Did not show or mention in the video. Thinking Not, but double checking. Thanks

Hey Tom. The shutter assembly is actually reinstalled on 2024 Ford Maverick when using the Blue Ox item # BLU86HR baseplate kit. There's some modifying you have to do that is detailed on pages 6-13 of the installation instructions I have linked blow but it will be reinstalled.
Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2024 Ford Maverick:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7380
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267
Charge Line - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25
Braking System - Blue Ox Patriot Portable Flat Tow Brake System item # BLU37TR
Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-88400
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.
I attached a few picture below so you can see the shutter assembly reinstalled. We've also done install videos on all the parts listed above so I have linked them as well.
What kind of motorhome do you have?

Thanks Jerred, All pieces and parts are sitting in the garage waiting on my install. This is our 3rd Toad install. We went from a 42’ Travel Supreme which was a dream coach to a beautiful Tiffin LA 38’. Our trips are now weeks vs months so the Tiffin fits our needs better. Thanks for the shutter information and pictures. As always etrailer customer service is the best!
