If you like a clean, factory look when you’re not towing, this setup does just that. The hidden design keeps the brackets tucked out of sight, and the removable arms come off with a simple twist. When the arms are removed, nothing sticks out past the front of your vehicle, so you won’t catch a shin walking by. Receiver covers plug into the sockets to keep dirt and debris out, leaving a finished look and smooth connection points.
Connecting the tow bar is straightforward every time. Each arm slides into the base plate receiver and locks in place with a twist. When it’s time to unhook, pull the pin, rotate the arms, and lift them free. The simple twist-lock feature makes it easy to connect or disconnect, even if you’re doing it alone.
This base plate bolts directly to the vehicle’s chassis using included hardware—no welding required. The sturdy steel design distributes towing forces evenly to help protect your suspension from stress. The powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion through extended use and thousands of miles on the road.
The base plate pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure, reliable connection. It also works with Roadmaster tow bars using adapter # RM-031 or # RM-031-5 and with Demco tow bars using adapter # DM9523041 (all sold separately). Built-in mounting points let you attach an electrical connector plug bracket neatly up front so your wiring stays organized and easy to reach.
This design is made for hands-on installers who like to tackle their own projects. It bolts securely to existing chassis points without any welding, giving you a solid setup once everything’s tightened down. With clearly defined mounting points and included hardware, it’s a practical job for anyone comfortable turning wrenches in their garage.

Its been two years since installation of the Blue Ox Baseplate. Since then, Ive flat towed the CRV from NJ to FL and back three separate times with many other shorter trips in between. Paired with a Blue Ox Tow Bar, the system has worked flawlessly since installation.
