Question:
Im rewiring a 2019 EZ Loader tandem-axle boat trailer saltwater use, lights get submerged at launch and replacing the fender marker lights. Current setup: Wesbar grommet-mount marker lights in molded plastic/composite fenders. The rubber grommet is embossed Wesbarinch appears to be the 15-series grommet, 221588 and the lens is stamped SAE P2 DOT. The fender opening measures 3inch x 1-1/2. The original incandescent lights had direct wire leads with inline bullet connectors, which is what corroded. My requirement: Im eliminating every plug/quick-connect on the trailer, so Im looking for a SUBMERSIBLE LED marker light with bare hardwired wire leads two-wire, since the fenders are plastic and cant self-ground — not the 2-pin plug style and not .180 bullets. I know the Wesbar LED 47-203667/47-203668 fit this grommet, but they use the plug-in pigtail A46PB, which Im trying to avoid. Questions: 1. Is there ANY LED clearance/side marker light with direct hardwired leads that fits the Wesbar 15-series grommet 221588 / a 3inch x 1-1/2inch opening? 2. If not in that exact footprint, what hardwired two-wire submersible LED marker would you recommend for a plastic fender, and how would you mount it over or in this opening? 3. If the answer is really the plug style is the only option in this footprint, inch is there a sealed/molded-harness version of the A46PB pigtail youd recommend for saltwater? I need 2 amber and 2 red. Thanks!

Hey Cory, welcome back and thanks for the picture. That's a tough situation you're in. I went through all of our submersible lights and I do not have a suitable replacement that does not require the use of the item # A46PB pigtail.
My only solution is to use the Thinline LED Clearance and Side Marker Light - Submersible item # AL91RB in red and item # AL91AB in amber. They measure 2-1/2" L × 1-3/16" W × 7/8" D. These lights work with the following mounting brackets and grommets:
Mounting Bracket item # A91BOB
Grommet item # A91GB
Mounting Grommet w/ Built-in Wedge item # A91GZB
The Right Angle 2-Wire Pigtail item # A46PB is the only option I have. They come in longer pigtails but nothing like what you're looking for.

I soldered my leads and used heat shrink connectors. You could use liquid tape over that. You could use epoxy or liquid tape on the back of the light and plug.
