Question:

I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 controller I bought last year. I had to get a new vehicle and now need a cable to connect it to 2020 Honda ridgeline rtl-e. Do you have a plug and play cable for that?

Hey Jason! I do have a solution, but Tekonsha is for sale right now and most of their parts are not available. This includes the custom wiring harness for your 2020 Honda Ridgeline.

What you can use is the Curt Custom Wiring Adapter for Trailer Brake Controllers # C51392. You will also need the Curt Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller # C68VV which will allow you to connect the Curt harness to your P3.

Once or twice a year I rent a smaller camper. These usually require brake controller. Occasionally I rent a U-Haul but those don’t need a controller.

@JasonC sounds good! Those two adapters will let you plug your Prodigy P3 right into the Ridgeline so you’ll be all set the next time you rent a camper.
